My mom taught Allisa how to sew on the sewing machine while she was here August 22-23.

She is using my old Huskystar machine.

In this photo she is showing Allisa how to actually line up the fabric and stay in a straight line.

Maybe by June we will have this showdog thing down - I don't know! LOL Back legs are pretty good here but need to work on the front. (notice my foot gently pushing the leg back into place!) Of course he fidgets every 10 seconds. The tail isn't tucked - it's wagging madly! Ghillie is the waggiest dog I've ever owned.

We will keep on practicing.......... could definately be providing the "entertainment" factor in the 12-18 month puppy class.

Then again - who knows - maybe it will "click" sometime in the next few weeks. With a flatcoat - anything can - and does - happen!

This juvenile Bald Eagle made 4 passes trying to take a Male Bufflehead which wa about 20 feet from me. It turns out it wasn't the Bufflehead's turn to die today, the juvenile has a lot to learn.

So many trials and pictures trying to get this pic done

Still not completely happy with the results, I do think that it could have been a little easier with a different colored background, anything but black, but its what I had so its what got used!

I was trying to recreate this pic,

which looks deceptively simple and I thought I could light it with one light, nopers, ended up going with a bare SB800 and a SB800 + umbrella to light the front

A child enjoys learning english at the Diocesan run Agape Centre. The centre began 10 years ago, helped by a grant from ABM.

Access to education and promoting reconciliation are key commitments of the Church of the Province of Myanmar. ABM visited the Diocese of Taungoo and was impressed by the range of education programs being offered on the ground by the Church. Early childhood education and English tutoring for youth are developing the skills and gifts of future generations in ways that are already transforming lives.

One of the other ministries of the diocese, particularly in the Parish of Thandaung Gyi, is the promotion of reconciliation following years of armed conflict. St George’s parish has responded by starting up a kindergarten to cater especially for children of displaced families and by actively working toward peace and reconciliation in the region.
