On Sunday, November 27, 2016 two Venturer Companies came out for an introduction to Judo at the Burnaby Judo Club. Great fun was had, bodies were thrown, and on Monday, some tired, happy teenagers will wake up feeling a bit like a truck hit them :)

This is cool- you can touch on of the globes and it applies a different data map to the big globe. From the feedback, it looks like the texture is fetched via a image file at a URL.

Our granddaughter is learning the guitar and doing quite well. She does well with each new artistic endeavor. I enlarged and printed then framed this for her Mommy & Daddy's Christmas present. They loved it ... makes me happy. Now it's a great addition to kind of match my grandson's image on their wall. My grandson's image is the one that is the icon for my Dictionary set.

“When I examine myself and my methods of thought,

I come to the conclusion that the gift of fantasy

has meant more to me than any talent for abstract, positive thinking.”

The wilderness provides an effective and engaging learning environment for those who have often struggled to engage with tranditional education.

The Social Learning Theory suggests that people are likely to imitate behaviors that result in a positive outcome. This is the same for negative behavior that results in no outcome.

When you are the last motorcycle on a trip, you raise the accelerator (though the speedometer screams 80kmph). The raising of the accelarator, in the short run, seems to be an impulse. In the long run, however, it is just a way of averaging the gang's speed. To keep the speed around a certain level. Over multiple iterations, the mean speed goes easily from 60kmph to 80. After a while, to 90 kmph. and after a long enough timeline, sufficient timespan and incessant, instinctive coordination shall make 3 motorcycles hum at a steady 100 kmph.

Its not speeding blindly. Your helmets should be slipped tight, palms clearly over the handle, and the thumping fuel tank between the thighs, the neglected hamstrings shall take the pain till the night's stop. All in all, biking is not about surging adrenaline. There are strategies, formations and all that has to do with overtaking, looking at the rear view mirror once every few seconds. At times, it scares the hell out of you when you see in the rear view mirror - a big SUV surging ahead. It is, in a way, dividing the joy of riding into distinguishable components. Little glimpses of the six branches of philosophy could be felt. Riding is indeed a science somewhere in the middle. It begins as philosophy and ends as art, bestowing the rider with some virtue.

In any case, the flag stands tall. Four wheels move the body; two wheels move the soul.

And after a while, when the motorcycle between the legs thumps at 115 kmph, Pink Floyd's 'Learning to Fly' strikes the senses suddenly. And instead of singing 'Paisa paisa karti hai', you sing:

Across the roads I see our shadows fly

Out of the corner of my watering eye
