CP 9363 leads a hefty train into the curve between Nashua and Tenney on the Elbow Lakes Subdivision. I could see this train from miles away traveling north of Minnesota Highway 9 as it approached the diamond with the BNSF Morris Subdivision. Much to my surprise, the Red River Valley & Western was sitting at the junction waiting to follow this train west into North Dakota. Timing is everything.

The head of a partly opening Agapanthus flower supporting a slender grass seed stem by our local lake.
Effect is purely from taking the description of the Slider Sunday group seriously and pushing all ten of my basic sliders to the extreme. Five each way! The background of the original image was just pale blue-grey water in the lake.
Happy Slider Sunday!
Happy Monday Blues too!
Messing around again with color and my groceries and of course still trying to get better at processing and texture. It's snowing again so trying to brighten my day with color and healthy food. What helps you beat the winter blahs?

Here we go, here we go
And we live in a beautiful world,
Yeah we do, yeah we do,
We live in a beautiful world.
Oh, all that I know,
There's nothing here to run from,
'Cause everybody here's got somebody to lean on.

Lean on Me
Bill Withers
[Chorus]
Lean on me when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

A Union Pacific "Fast Forty" SD40-2 leads an eastbound train departing Riverdale Yard in Ogden, Utah.
Grey Seal pup and mum, enjoying the later afternoon sunshine.
Taken from quite a long way off behind the Winterton Seal Barrier - there to try and keep the Seals near the beach and within the front section of dunes.
40% of the world's population of Grey Seals live around the UK coast, with the cutest ones being brought up on the beaches of Norfolk :-)
