CP 9363 leads a hefty train into the curve between Nashua and Tenney on the Elbow Lakes Subdivision. I could see this train from miles away traveling north of Minnesota Highway 9 as it approached the diamond with the BNSF Morris Subdivision. Much to my surprise, the Red River Valley & Western was sitting at the junction waiting to follow this train west into North Dakota. Timing is everything.

Sure enough there was also a lovely female with her rather grown-up kid, having a nap in the comforts of eucalyptus branches.

Effect is purely from taking the description of the Slider Sunday group seriously and pushing all ten of my basic sliders to the extreme. Five each way! The background of the original image was just pale blue-grey water in the lake.

Happy Slider Sunday!

Happy Monday Blues too!

Just call on me brother when you need a hand. We all need somebody to lean on.

Please forgive me for my absence. I woke up the other morning with a really sore throat and it's been downhill ever since. I shall try my best to catch up with everyone, this weekend.

Westerly View.......

I’m not sure who, what or why someone (or something) stacks fallen branches against the trunks of oak trees in this forest. I thought the were old bivouacs at first but now I’m not so sure!

Old abandoned shed

A visit into the woods earlier in the week revealed that the autumn colours had still not fully appeared. But I managed to find this Silver Birch which had fallen slightly against its neighbour.

Messing around again with color and my groceries and of course still trying to get better at processing and texture. It's snowing again so trying to brighten my day with color and healthy food. What helps you beat the winter blahs?

We have odd houses here in Dunedin :-D

I am just back from having a coffee with the wonderful ~Geisha~ who is visiting NZ at the moment, she's the first Flickrite I have met in real life.

The trees along the trail appear to lean away from us as we walk through this open and airy woodland.

In the group, Color My World Daily, Saturday is pink or purple day. When I came upon this scene today, I thought it would be perfect.

Without the support of its companion, this aged barn would collapse into total ruin. Couples who reach old age together often find a greater need for support from each other than ever in their lives.
