The bay forest around Jones Lake is a tangled mess of vegetation with many trees like this leaning on each other at Jones Lake State Park near Elizabethtown, North Carolina in Bladen County. The park is just off North Carolina Highway 242.

Market street, Manchester.

A photo of two wedding rings, on the morning of the "big day". The Spring blossom trees in the background painting the colour for the occasion.

[47/366] Our Daily Challenge - Leaning

Sometimes in our lives

We all have pain

We all have sorrow

But if we are wise

We know that there's always tomorrow

Lean on me, when you're not strong

And I'll be your friend

I'll help you carry on

For it won't be long

Till I'm gonna need

Somebody to lean on

I LEANED against the mantel, sick, sick,

Thinking of my failure, looking into the abysm,

Weak from the noon-day heat.

A church bell sounded mournfully far away,

I heard the cry of a baby,

And the coughing of John Yarnell,

Bed-ridden, feverish, feverish, dying,

Then the violent voice of my wife:

“Watch out, the potatoes are burning!”

I smelled them ... then there was irresistible disgust.

I pulled the trigger ... blackness ... light...

Unspeakable regret ... fumbling for the world again.

Too late! Thus I came here,

With lungs for breathing ... one cannot breathe here with lungs,

Though one must breathe.... Of what use is it

To rid one’s self of the world,

When no soul may ever escape the eternal destiny of life?

Oiva:

Oiva:

Oh, let´s have this dance.. C'mon, lean on me.. Closer.. Closer.. Take this..

Tanya:

My.. Just wait till we get back to the jet! Or if you need some.. Dangerously loving adventure, sure.. I'll.. oh.. Oh.. What the.. What is this?

Oiva:

You didn't expect this, didn't you?

Tanya:

I.. I.. I sure didn't... You.. Do you.. Are you trying to..

Oiva:

Yes.

Maybe not the right way to do it but.. God knows when I´d have a second chance for this..

Please swallow your pride

If I have things you need to borrow

For no one can fill those of your needs

That you don't let show

Lean on me, when you're not strong

And I'll be your friend

I'll help you carry on

For it won't be long

'Til I'm gonna need

Somebody to lean on

If there is a load you have to bear

That you can't carry

I'm right up the road

I'll share your load

If you just call me

So just call on me brother, when you need a hand

We all need somebody to lean on

I just might have a problem that you'd understand

We all need somebody to lean on

Lean on me when you're not strong

And I'll be your friend

I'll help you carry on

For it won't be long

Till I'm gonna need

Somebody to lean on

Lean on me...

BEHIND THE SCENE. (a la I Travel East)...It has been more than 20 years since I visited the railroad near our home in the province. The railroad was one our playgrounds where we waited for trains to pass by and had crown caps pressed by the metal wheels. On mornings, we always looked forward to the sunrise and run to this spot. We stared at the rising sun until our eyes ached and teary and marveled at the visions of light circles after.

So last December 27, I brought my son and my nephew for a photowalk to see what has happened to our "playground". The tracks were gone. The ricefields on both sides were now replaced by houses and shanties and are now called "home along the riles."

The only remembrance that was left was the metal bridge ahead, and the sun that shone on our faces...and the memories of childhood that will never be gone.

Ahh

Very strange moment to be captured, but it looks fun anyway.

And I'll be your friend

I'll help you carry on
