Comments still set to off 100% definitely and ‘saved’ as default till I am in a WiFi are as so slow. It is of course rewarding to see people be so encouraging but it shouldn’t be physically possible. Just in case anyone is actually wondering how the renovations are progressing in our home - they appear to be well behind and unable to finish the job now for we know not how long. The builder had this one week in his diary before Christmas but cannot finish our job in the time he had allotted…………..

Lean on me - A golden spring morning dawns at Blea Tarn with the Langdale Pikes reflected in the wonderfully still mirror surface of the tarn.
Although now compositionally more challenging, the iconic fence looks way more photogenic now that it's developed a lean and has gained a character more reminiscent of its decrepit predecessor from several years ago.

A busker, Istanbul Turkey playing a long necked Bağlama. The Bağlama is the most commonly used string folk instrument in Turkey, first used in the 1700's. Similar variants are played through Greece and the Middle East.

OK, this is a pretty weak stretch for this week's "Book" theme for Happy Caturday but what can I say. It was a busy, busy week and this was the best I could do. Partly I was busy taking walks and photos of blossoms, but I was also busy working. I took Jimmy and Mack into work yesterday so one of our vets, who is getting certified in doing echocardiograms, could practice on them. They were angels for the procedure but as you can see, they were not thrilled to be there. My own sweet Jimmy hissed at me and Mack wouldn't look at me. When asked if this photo reminded him of a book, George replied, "The Damned". I decided I couldn't use swear words in the title of my photo but it did crack me up.
