Layer upon layer of waves pound the Mendocino County shoreline at Point Arena. This is one of my favorite spots along the Northern California coast. It's rugged, it's wild, at times it literally takes my breath away.
Of course the lighthouse is the main attraction here. It is no longer a working lighthouse, but it is beautifully maintained by a nonprofit group, much to the enjoyment of all who are privileged to visit this stunning spot along this beautiful stretch of the California coast.

Anti clockwise from upper left. Red Pike ( Buttermere ), High Snockrigg, Catbells. Foreground is the plantation on Stub Hill. Bottom right, Rowling End ( Causey Pike ), Birk Rigg and finally Knott Rigg. I think Ard Crags and Aikin Knott are in between but not 100%.

Greater White Pocket area, very fragil, therefore without coordinates, hope you understand.
I was looking for another photospot when I suddenly stood in front of this slightly overhanging wall that shone in many warm and cold colors in the indirect light of the early afternoon. The wall is several meters high and about 20 meters wide. Apparently, wind and sand have cleared the rock layers over many years.

A radiant white Star Magnolia blossom takes center stage, its delicate, ribbon-like petals unfurling in a layered, sunburst pattern. Captured at the Buxton Park Arboretum in Indianola, Iowa. Unfortunately, these will be gone soon, after several days of heavy rain and wind, they will likely all be on the ground or badly damaged.
