With lots of bricks to be laid Dan has a busy morning ahead

Blooming Glads,laying down,after the Storm.

After the mirror photo I decided to lay down and have a cigarette in my lingerie. :) My 100th photo is coming up , if you have any suggestions of what you would like to see, just comment below.

Frito Lay Freightliner Argosy's parked in the bobtail line at the Frito Lay plant in Vancouver, WA Februrary 2010.

Wharf Road. Mucking. Thurrock. Essex.(Came across these on my morning walk)

DDC-Mundane

She seemed bored and was just lazing around on the rug, not doing anything special.

ODC-Technology Flat Lay

Just a few of the techy things I own.

Hickety, pickety, my black hen,

She lays eggs for gentlemen,

Sometimes nine and sometimes ten,

Hickety, pickety, my black hen,

My old hen's a good old hen,

She lays eggs for the railroad men.

Sometimes one, sometimes two,

Sometimes enough for the whole damned crew.

Amtrak's Celebrating 100 years of the Post Office Special was laying over in Chicago in 1999. A specially painted P42 provided the horsepower.

Buffalo & Pittsburgh power lays over in New Castle

Lay across my big brass bed . . . . .

Possibly Common Hawker, although maybe a Brown Hawker. It did not seem large enough for that. The wings have colour. We saw lots of Blue ones. Saw several Southern Hawker I had to zoom a long way, the sun was the wrong angle and I was standing on a rather steep bank so not the best photo. I have never seen this species laying egs before.

A lovely stroll to the pond. Lots of Dragonflies, lots of fish jumping, a Heron, Red Admiral. Lots of Swallows and a couple of fungi. A lovely natter with an Eastern European gentleman who was fishing with no luck, we didn't tell him about all the fish at the other side of the pond. We were lamenting the amount of rubbish left behind by assholes, never seen so much there in 47 years.

Florida Gator hiding his rather large size behind some grass on waters edge...kind of creepy as we almost walked by without seeing him...

This flower just looks all layed back to me! I think it is so cool!

By still waters I lay down with the lambs

In pastures green I made peace with my soul

And I cared not for the night

While my guiding star shone bright

By still waters I lay down

I lay down.

A more recent photo of Alexial the deathstalker scorpion, Leiurus quinquestriatus, under a blacklight. This time she's all grown up! View large.

You should NEVER leave a blacklight on a scorpion long-term. The intense UV rays will eventually kill the nocturnal animal. Some pet stores market scorpion habitats with blacklights because they look cool, but they don't tell you the facts.

This photo was also used in an article about scorpions on airplanes:
