F126 'HMS Plymouth' leaves Birkenhead destined for scrap at Aliang, Turkey. Once preserved, the vessel has languished at Birkenhead since 2006. Despite the best efforts of the HMS Plymouth Association, time literally ran out for them and Peel finally decided to move her out for scrap early Wednesday morning.
'Daniel Adamson' made her maiden voyage along the full length of the ship canal to Manchester since completing her restoration in 2016. Probably the mid 80's when she was withdrawn from service has she been to the upper reaches of the canal after languishing at the boat museum for years. She is seen passing her old base at Runcorn Old Quay where modern apartments now occupy the site 22/04/17.
