This is a postcard I found in an antique store today. It is supposed to represent a stained glass window at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Ca, as you can see from the info on the top. This is a short freeway drive from where I live. Local memorabilia, I guess. I remember going on a photo expedition during high school with my photography class to take pics of the statuary and other art they have there. It was a very pretty place but very morbid.
And no, this isn't a bad scan...this postcard IS that old and fuzzy.
I almost forgot to take a picture! Quickly snapped a few off and this was the only one redeemable after much tinkering. Oh well, time to move on. But it was a great moment out there on the deck. Nice and relaxing and still really warm.

Sunday April 29 2007 - Brooklyn, NY: From a photo shoot with last minute mary in the kitchen of my brooklyn apt.
Amtrak's Land & Sea special, consisting of a steak and some shrimp, along with some mixed vegetables and a baked potato. The food onboard was shockingly mediocre and the company for dinner this time was this guy who falsely claimed his daughter played for a NWSL club (I tried to look her up later) and complained about paid protestors.

"Last Friday Night"
...yeah, we danced on table tops.
I always take pictures that are semi-depressing or have a lot of emotions involved (minus the suckey ones) This is a fun one. This is what my weekends are like, with the best Kansas girls in the world. Every day we work hard, like every other college student. That doesn't mean we don't know how to have fun :) and we do.
Next Friday night, do it all again.

My Jeep has given up the ghost after 12 years of wonderful service and many fun trips to the beach. She is rusted to the point where every time I slam the door, chunks of metal fall off. More importantly, she no longer starts and will cost more to repair than she's worth. I will miss her.
After 30 years in self exile, the body of the second President of Maldives, Hon. Ibrahim Nasir, is brought home for burial. People gather is rain to pay their last respect for the man behind the modernization of Maldives.

Decided to start a new project called "Last Day". On Dec 31st, you take the last photo of the year.
In the last days of 2011, in Cyprus, it has been raining for 3 days. It reminded me of the weather in the UK. I wanted to depict that dull, flat, mundane mood that the weather was imposing.

It looks like Monday the 21st will be the last time to see F-117s before they go into retirement.
Good information is a little difficult to come by but it seems that 4 F-117s will fly by Plant 42 in Palmdale California on their way to Tonopah where they will mothballed. The fly-by and retirement ceremony at Plant 42 (based on the best info I can find) will be between 10am and 11am on Monday morning.

No traditional Ales, no Pork scratchings and I guess a pickled Egg is out of the question.....I'm doomed!
This is to be my last posting this year. I end with a farewell to the Short Eared Owls which have given me so much pleasure over the last couple of months, It has been a privelege to see such magnificent birds at close quarters and I look forward to renewing my acquaintance next year.
I wish all photographers out there a photo filled New Year and thanks for looking at my efforts.
