my new laptop I received as a gift from my parents. Windows Vista 64bit and 4GB of memory. I am looking at getting the 8GB memory upgrade but have to wait for the price to come down 700 bucks on memory is a little high. Loads photoshop much faster than my other laptop :)

An eight-year-old Dell laptop, complete with wireless internet card but devoid of Microsoft Word, that my mother bought me at a garage sale for $100 dollars. She is awesome. My boyfriend's computer engineer dad is gonna soup it up tomorrow.
Today my new work laptop arrived. I finally took the plunge to separate work and private and go with Ubuntu for work and stay with my Mac for my private stuff. It'll be interesting times using Ubuntu full time.
The good thing about this HP Probook 5320 is that we could get it with the usual Windows license. Our supplier can get them custom built. New for me will also be the keyboard: All American. But maybe I'll continue to use my Swiss German keyboard for the time being.
