First Baptist Church in Coxen Hole or Primer Iglesia Bautista is a bilingual church that is located across a municipal park in the largest city on the island of Roatan. All Sunday morning services are done in both English and Spanish in the same room. It is really neat to see how two groups of people even if they do not always understand the same language can worship God together!

They've already had their dinners.
Next, the chauffeur must feed himself.

The name of the city in Albanian is "Berat" or "Berati", which is probably derived from the Old Bulgarian Бѣлградъ (Белград, meaning "white city" in the South Slavic languages), under which name it was known in Greek, Bulgarian, Latin and Slavic documents during the High and Late Middle Ages. That name was rendered as Bellegrada (Βελλέγραδα) in Greek. It is believed to have been the site of an Ancient Macedonian stronghold, "Antipatreia" or "Antipatrea" in Latin, while during the early Byzantine Empire the name of the town was "Pulcheriopolis" (Greek: Πουλχεριόπολις, "city of Pulcheria"). In the Republic of Venice the city was known as Belgrad di Romania, while in the Ottoman Empire it was also known as Belgrad-i Arnavud. Berat lies on the right bank of the river Osum.

From yesterday evening at the cabin. This storm cell blew in during sunset. These prairie storms can be impressive, but this one left us with only a few drops of rain. We cleaned up the yard, and closed up the windows. Then I hung out on the dock to watch and take photos.
Storms and skies like this make me realize just how small we actually are.
Also part of my figurative language set. Both of them go with the same idiom in my mind. A term we use when feeling a little ill. I'll retitle the pictures in a couple of days with the idiom, but feel free to guess in the mean time.

My title refers to the Japanese concept of Miyabi. It is elegance and refinement, the banishment of everything vulgar or absurd. Nature is full of elegance and refinement. P.S. The combination of the EF 85mm f/1.8 and the EOS M is a very nice one. Almost like having a light walkaround version of the 135L.
Here's a link to a new article that I wrote for PhotoNews Magazine called Widen Your Horizons if you want to take a look here:

A friend of mine had her gallbladder removed today and while I was in the waiting room I randomly wondered if LEGO in sign language has it's own specific sign, or if you just spell it out.
As far as I can tell you just spell it out. If anyone knows if there is a specific sign, let me know!

Good morning Sunshine. Good morning Soul. Good Morning Earth. Good Morning Mist.
A peaceful morning, woken up by the sounds of the birds chirping and the cold breeze passing above the sleeping bag; the warm body within shudders awakened with a cold kiss of morning due. Taking in the first mountain breath; breathing in fresh air witnessing the rest of the world awakened from a distance.

From top to bottom: Korean, Dutch, Russian, American, British, French, Spanish, Canadian, German.
I'm starting a language comparison using the first Harry Potter book as the vehicle. I spoke fluent Korean fifty years ago. Studied Spanish in High School and French in College. I'm just going to see where it leads. I have Latin and Welsh on the way. The book has been translated into about 80 languages . :-)
