Meanwhile dark clouds chase the sky and every now and then the moon gets a change to break trough.
The high tide line then becomes visible for a short moment and in the distance wild crests are silhouetted against the darkness.
I must get away from this creepy place because if I wait any longer, I will be surrounded by the raging surf.
The spectacle of the sea being whipped by its ally the wind takes on a monstrous appereance.

Couldn't resist trying to capture something a little different on my way back to the car early yesterday morning. The colours on the oak tree were fascinating so using another tree beside me to block the wind I stuck an Nd filter on and quite liked the results 😃
I've been out of action for a couple of weeks with COVID but feeling much better now 😃 nice to be back out for some fresh air earlier this week .. this scene reminds me of my childhood over the summer months .. added a little grain and vintage look 👍

Ever changing light!
Mornings like this one justify why I sometimes just setup the tripod and stay rooted to the same spot for sometimes over an hour.
Watching the blue hour tones give way to yellows, oranges and reds until the sun rises and shows the natural greens of the countryside and blue from the clear sky!
The rolling mist just adds some lovely atmosphere and mood to the conditions around!
Perfect condition for winter photography ☺️
I had to take two exposures one covering the sun to stop the flair from ruining the foreground.

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
- Melody Beattie
