The Munch Museum Oslo. At construction time, it was called "Project Lambda" because of the characteristic shape. This is one of the biggest museums in the word that is dedicated to only one artist. Not everyone likes the massive block, but to me it fits well into the area.

On the (Oslo) Metro last night, regular advertising replaced by this flyer - couldn't resist taking one home for scanning.
The point of contention is design for the new Munch museum. Originally located to East Oslo, next to the Botanical Gardens to give the area increased prestige, local government now plan to move the Munch collection into a new landmark building next to another landmark building - the new Oslo Opera House. Construction hasn't started yet, but the design has been picked.
The competition was won by architect Juan Herreros with a design he called 'Lambda, however it bears a strong resemblance to a hotel he designed some years ago - so not 'original'. Besides the design is rather like a half-open pack of cigarettes - flip-top. Or perhaps a street level ventilation hood, according to this anonymous commenter & his dog - who can tell a set of Emperor's New Clothes.
