Brings to mind...Stephen King and "The lawnmower Man".

The trumpeter swan was once hunted and harassed to the point where in 1933 there were only 77 Trumpeter Swans breeding in Canada and 50 breeding in the United States.

J81 "John" was injured by a hunter last year and couldn't make the journey with his mate for their migration.

Luckily they were reunited this summer, after the new love interest left.

Hopefully he is well enough for the journey this year, but his injuries may prevent it.

April 6th was Tartan Day and I went up to Port Perry for a Tartan Parade. Took a few photos of the lake though there was not much interesting there.
