Been almost a month now till I went out for shooting. Here a piece that I worked on over the weekend.
Found this ladder stranded over the beach and had it 'moved' to place it in center for stronger composition. The tide are fast receeding and you can notice that the FG are the sands (not Noise, lol!) which I reckon its a litle distracting as I would like to achieve cleaner image. But due to the current; the ladder will move if I 'moved' it more towards the sea. Thus, I just leave it at it is.
Well, pretty satisfied with this shot and learned something new on the processing side.

Vanwege werkzaamheden in Duitsland worden er veel Cargo's via grensovergang Venlo omgeleid. Dus werd er op deze natte herfstdag,zeker geen lente gevoel, naar de stek in Blerick gereden. Eerst maar de ladder klaar zetten en weer schuilen in de auto. Dan nadat de IC naar Schiphol is gepasseerd duurd het nog 'n paar minuten voor het Cargo pad. Om 17u10 uur gaan de overweg bellen rinkelen,vlug de straat oversteken en dan passeert hier tijdens 'n droog moment de 2 fotografen CT 186 154 + CT 186 156 aan de haak de lege ERR/VTG / CT Falns lege kolentrein met op de voorgond de mooi geel bloeiende brem. Vanaf hier verder de Brabantroute af met eindbestemming het Rotterdamse.

Pictured here is a front view of the 1935 Smithtown Fire Department's vintage ladder truck that was recently restored and on display at this year's Smithtown Day festival.
A few years back the Smithtown Fire Department re-acquired their 1935 Mack Ladder truck that was last used by the Melville Fire Department on Long Island.
Going forward this truck will be viewed as a part of Smithtown Fire Department's history and serve in exhibitions, parades and community events.*

"Vintage Ladder" is an HDR image constructed from 5 bracketed shots using a 1 stop differential. The shot was processed in ACR, tone mapped w/ Photomatix, and later finished in Photoshop.
PS processing also includes the use of Topaz Labs plugins -- Adjust, Denoise, Clean, Glow, Impression and LensFX.

Jacob's Ladder is actually the real name of this staircase that scales an enormous hill in my hometown. I used three images that I captured to create this (check out before and afters) and the lighting was inspired by the aforementioned, Midnight-Digital.

This juvenile woodpecker was inspecting the birdbath in my backyard. A young male just starting to grow the red feathers in his crown. This species of woodpecker is one of the smaller ones in our area and their high-pitched "yip" calls alert me to their presence.
