Ontem fizemos nosso primeiro encontrinho fora de casa!! E a nossa sorte é realmente impressionante (;-_-)
Aqui a foto do desafio Zaine, espero que tenha gostado XD
I admit that Lacie is not looking too happy here, but it is not because she has to pose for her photo. She is a bit of a princess and does not like to get her feet wet. With much coaxing and lifting of paws, we were able to find this reasonably dry spot in our yard for the weekly photo. We have been deluged with rain and snow the past couple of weeks and with the third Colorado Low heading our way, it looks like we are in for another wet weekend. At least this time the moisture-laden storm will be bringing mostly rain, not snow.
she's not only stunning and gorgeous, she's also a talented photographer and jose villa's assistant.
May is coming to an end marked by more wind and rain. Another Colorado low is hitting us making this the wettest spring in memory. The sun is rumoured to return tomorrow... fingers and wet paws are all crossed.
Yesterday enough of the snow was finally gone that we could see the grass. This morning we awoke to blizzard warnings and the potential for a three-day snow event. Lacie doesn't seem to mind.
Lacie and I had to trudge through the snow to get to them, but look what we found today... pussy willows! Can spring be far behind!
My sweet Lacie Girl is having a bit of a rough time. Over the past year, she has had a few episodes where she mindlessly walks and walks and seems unable to settle. When she does lie down, she seems to startle and immediately gets up to walk again. This can go on for hours and then suddenly she will just stop and be fine. I can count on one hand the number of times this has happened in the past year but this past week it has been almost every day.
The vets at Plessis were excellent with her. The diagnosis is still to be determined as they are unsure if it is pain that is triggering her behaviour. Back X-rays were done that show some lumbar degenerative changes but nothing overly concerning. She is now on Gabapentin twice a day as well as Trazodone ( if needed ).
We estimate Lacie to be 10 years of age. If she continues to have these episodes while on these meds then they feel it is not pain-related and maybe more a cognitive dysfunction. Today, so far, she is doing well and seems comfortable. Fingers crossed that the Gabapentin will be the answer.
But if not, we will deal with that too. Love you Lacie Girl.
Lacie is so much more comfortable with the increase in her Gabapentin. She is pretty much back to being her old self. Such a relief.
