This is the USB-C cable from my rugged LaCie hard drive. I was going to shoot the rubberised drive itself, but it didn’t quiet have the ‘minimal’ vibe I was after. I got a weird light flare effect from the metal bit that I kind of liked so decided to play on this for the shot.

it's been a while since we've had big blue skies. Today's forecast is for heavy rain possibly turning to sleet later . . .and my central heating system is making whining noises like it's about to break down . . .
Backup update: I bought a second external drive - 3 terabytes - just for my Pictures folder, which apart from all my photos, also holds the Lightroom catalogues, an absolutely essential part of the LR system.. So I will use the first external drive just for Time Machine backups of my MacBook Pro.
Lacie has stepped up for the 2022 52weeksfordogs challenge.
Odin is fine with taking a backseat this go-around. :)

Snow... and more snow. This is the last of Lacie's balls. The many others have all been lost to the snow. It will be fun come the spring. :)
More snow shenanigans with Lacie taking the focus.
But not for long... Lacie is handing over the reins to Odin for the 2021 "52 weeks for dogs" challenge. It should be interesting. :)
It's a cold one... -25C. Just outside long enough to toss the ball and grab a photo to start off the new year. Lacie is not looking too happy here... but really she is! :)
My sweet Lacie is 14 years old, and for the most part, time has been kind... but every once in a while she has a difficult day and we are reminded of how fragile it all really is.
Although Lacie still enjoys her walks, shorter ones are now best. She rests and sleeps more during the day but remains my constant companion, usually close by wherever I am. Nothing comforts me more than having her sweet, soft head resting upon my lap.
Loving an older dog is a gift, yet it carries its own share of sorrow. These days I embrace each moment that I spend with her and hold our time together close to my heart. I love you, Lacie-Girl.
We were out and about early on this cold March morning ( -15C ). The beautiful sunrise made it all worthwhile.
We have been enjoying an unseasonably warm start to November. Today was a little overcast but mild... the perfect day for a walk in the field.
We had a two-day mid-April snow event which left us with over 25cm of the white stuff. Lacie didn't seem to mind. :)
Lacie and I first met at Animal Services. She was a thin, frightened little girl who somehow found herself lost and alone. I was the volunteer photographer hoping to get a good photo to help her get adopted. It was not my intention to adopt a dog that day but Lacie had other plans. She quickly won over my heart and has been by my side ever since. She was thought to be about 4 years old at that time. This year she will turn 9.
