From the thrilling tale of romance and intrigue, To Catch A Thief Barbie doll captures the glamour and elegance of the beautiful Grace Kelly. Sculpted in the star's likeness, she wears an elaborately ruched one-shoulder gown in shades of blue chiffon, a flowing scarf and a coordinating clutch purse. Her blonde hair is styled in a chic upswept chignon, just like her character in the movie. This stylish doll is quite a catch, indeed!

While in the same vein and spirit as Burgues and Compendium, Bellissima began from an entirely different thread as those fonts. It started with Alex Trochut generously showing me a gorgeous lettering book from his grandfather's library: Bellezas de la Caligrafía, by Ramón Stirling, 1844. Stirling was one of the Latin calligraphy pioneers who introduced a refined version of English calligraphy in Spain and made it popular in the nineteenth century.
Some scans from that book served as initial basis for the caps in my Poem Script. But it was always in the back of my mind that I should do a copperplate, and the Stirling model was the perfect source. My intention was to veer away from Stirling's exuberant ornamentation, and work within simplified forms of his ideas. As it usually is with most of my projects, Bellissima became its own bird and shaped its own flying patterns. Suddenly there were many ligatures, multiple endings and swashed connections, hundreds of alternates for both uppercase and lowercase.
Bellissima has an effusive energy that appeals much beyond its sourcing. It's intended for these modern times of appreciation for old crafty things like stationary and letterpress, where its origins help it shine brightly.
Bellissima Script Pro is a complete font with almost 2000 characters full of alternates, swashes, ligatures & ornaments covering a wide palette of latin languages and Bellissima Script Redux is a random sample of glyphs totally usable with a reduced price.
3D art in that Specimen generously provided by Corey Holms.
To celebrate this new font release there is a 30% off discount at @myfonts and you can get the Pro version for just 55$ or a Redux (a random selection of 256 glyphs) for only 34$

From The Round Table:
In the 1960s Perceval unleashed the first of its obscure Tub wines. These fancy Tubs were the result of legendary wine maker Wagner “Snark” Snarfinnsson’s drunken desire and miscalculation owed to inebriation, to create a range of wines which captured a quixotic quality with a snobby, toffee-nosed high-falutin’ branding while exhibiting a more common, proletarian, vulgar style for the masses - one that even your drunken uncle Jock at the Two-Up wouldn’t mind drinking. Perceval Tub 103 is another dull Shiraz. This year it hails from a problematic union between soil that just belonged to Bhopal in the Yabba, and corroded tin barrels from Kabul - rich in pollutants that flew in from China such as Cadmium, and pesticides. This miserable wine shows an acrid nose, a tart body and a hairy aftertaste. In 1995, mad cultists tested the wine as a chemical weapon, by releasing it in Tokyo subways. We invite you to explore the Perceval range and discover a trail of dismal failures unseen since the Romans fought Hannibal.
Contains Sulphites and Possibly Chromium VI as seen in the movie “Erin Brokovich.” 14.5% alcohol 100% Wine of Australia Perceval Wines: 19 Witheringbottom Road The Yabba NSW 2987

350ml, 500ml i 1000ml bottle design for extracts and emulators was extremely creative and inspirational field where we had the opportunity to work with professional tool-makers and printing offices that could follow our visions in technical term during the entire branding process.
The supervision of the tool making process in all of its phases was pure pleasure as well as supervision of the development of printing materials (package, labels and other printing materials client needed). It all went professionally and smoothly with no bigger problems.
That was the result of good strategic planning and extremely professional organization of the entire project that was healthy from the beginning so the margin for errors was placed to a minimum. This ideal concept is a product of healthy professional cooperation between us and our client. We had a clear plan and a goal that we have held to during the entire branding process. When the things are set up correctly, time stages are carefully planned and deadlines are set things work perfectly.
Remember the Limocello craze of 2007? We now have conclusive evidence that It lasted for exactly 2/3 of one bottle.

Now, here we go - I've been talking about this big fashion project already a few month ago. On August 1st it finally happened and here are the first results. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
It was super fun doing this project, but also very exhausting. The team of girls was great. We started at 9 am and ended at 5 pm. I think I've not been that tired for a looong time ;)
The processing will take a while 'cause we shooted .... I don't know ... about 18 outfits.
And I also got another big news.... I'm gonna work as a photographer for a wonderful, gorgeous, inspiring photographer here in my hometown. I'll be starting fresh as a student. And I am so excited I can tell. It's amazing. The meeting, the decision, the organization it all happened this week, there is still a bit of paper work left, but I am sure it's all gonna be fine on Monday.
So hold your thumbs for me - I'll really need it ;-)

Kimora Lee Simmons Barbie® doll epitomizes the Baby Phat founder and designer's hip, street-glam flair! Created under the direction of Kimora Lee Simmons, a former model turned fashion/lifestyle entrepreneur, this dark-haired diva is dressed in a fabulous hot pink outfit, topped with a full-length faux chinchilla coat. Upping the cool quotient are bold, over-the-top accessories like pink thigh-high boots, chunky earrings and a designer bag. But the cutest accessory of all? Kimora's adorable little dog, Zoe!
An amazing show by ESPO - Steve Powers, REAS - Todd James, and TWIST - Barry McGee held at the Institute of Contemporary Art, (ICA) Philadelphia as part of the Wall Power show in 2000. There were large-scale installations by all three artists and a convenience store/bodega was built in the gallery stocked with fake products - all with labels designed by the artists. It's one of my all-time favorite art shows. They put up versions of this show at Deitch Projects in NYC, at the Venice Biennial, and in Tokyo as well.

The Tieton Mosaic Project was launched by Tieton Arts & Humanities, along with Mighty Tieton and the City of Tieton. Their goal is to create a bold visual identity for the city of Tieton, WA and establish a new self-sustaining artisan business.
Tieton does not have a strong historical architectural tradition. Buildings are workmanlike cinderblock-style from the 1940-60s. However, the town itself has a clearly defined core, with a beautiful park surrounded by four blocks of storefronts. A modest amount of graphically distinct signage executed in traditional craft materials will give Tieton a distinctive identity. Thus, the Tieton Mosaic Project will produce a series of six typographic mosaics, inspired by the New York City subway system mosaics and local fruit label design, to be installed on or around civic landmarks in Tieton. Starting with public signs, we willexpand our repertoire to include marketable production line. The mosaic studio follows the Mighty Tieton business model. Based in Tieton, these businesses train and employ members of the community, marketing their products nationally.
In July of 2013, the National Endowment of the Arts awarded Tieton Arts and Humanities (TA&H) a $50,000 Our Town grant to launch the Tieton Mosaic Project. The project is a joint public/private venture by TA&H, the City of Tieton, Mighty Tieton, Paper Hammer Studios, the Educational Foundation of America, the Raynier Foundation, Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA) and the Yakima Valley Community Foundation.
