Possibly Malcolm Garrett's finest work for Buzzcocks? Certainly my favourite sleeve and label design, which always reminds me of the blackcurrant flavoured Chewits of my youth (remember that monster eating Barrow-in-Furness bus station?).
'Promises' c/w 'Lipstick' could also be seen as Buzzcocks one shot at a true double A-side 45 (until the triangles and circles of 'Parts 1-3', that is). As far as I know it was never marketed as such, but promotional videos were made for both tracks - that for 'Lipstick' was filmed as they recorded in the studio. Both tracks are definitely worthy of single status - the infectious 'How could you ever let me down' refrain of 'Promises' is rivalled by the brilliant word-play of 'Does the lipstick on your lips stick on my face?'. And how's about this for another bit of synergy - both sides are exactly 2:35 long. Weird, eh?
Fans would also have noticed a familiar ring to Shelley's lead guitar line on 'Lipstick', which had been the main hook to Magazine's debut 45 'Shot By Both Sides' (released January 1978). Shelley had writing credits for both songs, so it wasn't plagiarism - he came to a gentleman's agreement with Howard Devoto who, he said, always played 'Boredom' in Magazine's live shows anyway! But by re-using the riff, Shelley was borrowing the musical clout of one of New Wave's landmark songs, which must have had some influence on propelling this 45 to #20 in the UK charts.

While in the same vein and spirit as Burgues and Compendium, Bellissima began from an entirely different thread as those fonts. It started with Alex Trochut generously showing me a gorgeous lettering book from his grandfather's library: Bellezas de la Caligrafía, by Ramón Stirling, 1844. Stirling was one of the Latin calligraphy pioneers who introduced a refined version of English calligraphy in Spain and made it popular in the nineteenth century.
Some scans from that book served as initial basis for the caps in my Poem Script. But it was always in the back of my mind that I should do a copperplate, and the Stirling model was the perfect source. My intention was to veer away from Stirling's exuberant ornamentation, and work within simplified forms of his ideas. As it usually is with most of my projects, Bellissima became its own bird and shaped its own flying patterns. Suddenly there were many ligatures, multiple endings and swashed connections, hundreds of alternates for both uppercase and lowercase.
Bellissima has an effusive energy that appeals much beyond its sourcing. It's intended for these modern times of appreciation for old crafty things like stationary and letterpress, where its origins help it shine brightly.
Bellissima Script Pro is a complete font with almost 2000 characters full of alternates, swashes, ligatures & ornaments covering a wide palette of latin languages and Bellissima Script Redux is a random sample of glyphs totally usable with a reduced price.

Pueblo Chili season is one of my favorite times of the year. I picked up some fire-roasted chilis at Musso Farms in Pueblo, Colorado before they closed for the season. Due to the lack of rain in the area, the chilis are spicier than usual this year.
This beer was made with white wheat, Munich, and pale male. The chilis sat in the beer for a 48-hour vacation. It's crisp, light, and has a bit of a kick. This has become one of my recent favorites. Cheers!

Remember the Limocello craze of 2007? We now have conclusive evidence that It lasted for exactly 2/3 of one bottle.
350ml, 500ml i 1000ml bottle design for extracts and emulators was extremely creative and inspirational field where we had the opportunity to work with professional tool-makers and printing offices that could follow our visions in technical term during the entire branding process.
The supervision of the tool making process in all of its phases was pure pleasure as well as supervision of the development of printing materials (package, labels and other printing materials client needed). It all went professionally and smoothly with no bigger problems.
That was the result of good strategic planning and extremely professional organization of the entire project that was healthy from the beginning so the margin for errors was placed to a minimum. This ideal concept is a product of healthy professional cooperation between us and our client. We had a clear plan and a goal that we have held to during the entire branding process. When the things are set up correctly, time stages are carefully planned and deadlines are set things work perfectly.

From The Round Table:
In the 1960s Perceval unleashed the first of its obscure Tub wines. These fancy Tubs were the result of legendary wine maker Wagner “Snark” Snarfinnsson’s drunken desire and miscalculation owed to inebriation, to create a range of wines which captured a quixotic quality with a snobby, toffee-nosed high-falutin’ branding while exhibiting a more common, proletarian, vulgar style for the masses - one that even your drunken uncle Jock at the Two-Up wouldn’t mind drinking. Perceval Tub 103 is another dull Shiraz. This year it hails from a problematic union between soil that just belonged to Bhopal in the Yabba, and corroded tin barrels from Kabul - rich in pollutants that flew in from China such as Cadmium, and pesticides. This miserable wine shows an acrid nose, a tart body and a hairy aftertaste. In 1995, mad cultists tested the wine as a chemical weapon, by releasing it in Tokyo subways. We invite you to explore the Perceval range and discover a trail of dismal failures unseen since the Romans fought Hannibal.
Contains Sulphites and Possibly Chromium VI as seen in the movie “Erin Brokovich.” 14.5% alcohol 100% Wine of Australia Perceval Wines: 19 Witheringbottom Road The Yabba NSW 2987

Giro box design structural and graphic design. Photo inside reflects on the goggles. Label design. I worked on this box from the ground up. First with templates using paper folding and hand cutting and then getting to a die cutter and recreating in cardboard. Super proud of my work when I see them in independent retail snow stores and big stores like REI.
I have always been a big fan of wine label design. :::loves wine tasting too::: I've been studying wine labels more than normal due to my work on Odonatia's winery, Dark Palms. I have come to the conclusion recently though that I would really like to get into the industry as a label designer someday. These are some of the ones I found really interesting because of shape, color or overall composition...
