Carver Heights in Lexington Park, Maryland on Christmas Day, 25 December 2004 by Elvert Barnes Photography
Constructed in two different phases between 1942 and 1944 the first location was adjacent to the main gate of Patuxent Naval Air Station at Patuxent River in Lexington Park Maryland the Lexington Manor aka Flat Tops Development was built for whites. Many who worked at or whose jobs were connected with the base.
With the same architectural design and similar streetscape, and located a few miles south down 235 and between the main and south gate, the Carver Heights Development was built for Negro Americans. Many who also worked at Pax River Naval Air Station.

I'm always amused by the nutritional label whenever I change the water cooler bottles at work.
(Larger, for legibility.)
four pages of labels seems slightly excessive in a pair of adidas shorts. I'm sure it's weighing & slowing me down when I jog...
Tula Pink even donated the label for this quilt (another big thank you!).
I embroidered the who/what/when on the label then pieced it into the front of the quilt because I really liked the idea of the cool label (which represents opening a can of whoop arse on trudy). Now, seeing it in the photo, I'm not sure. What do you think??? I need to decide quickly which way to go. The label is staying. Thanks for all of the input!
Tula is really onto something with this label idea. I think other designers are missing the boat and should design and sell labels that match their collections.
Blogged here.

I stitched this up in the embroidery binge that was summer '09, and it just worked perfectly here. Added baby's name and year of birth, plus my initials.

This device label Ravage is my first toy from the Japanese line. Here he is in USB flash drive mode.
He only has 2 GB of space, and so his capacity is very small for his price.
The desktop software he comes with is also a nice bonus in that a digital Ravage can stalk around your desktop.

I have always been a big fan of wine label design. :::loves wine tasting too::: I've been studying wine labels more than normal due to my work on Odonatia's winery, Dark Palms. I have come to the conclusion recently though that I would really like to get into the industry as a label designer someday. These are some of the ones I found really interesting because of shape, color or overall composition...
