Spent time documenting frame builder felix.

This is the Bear Pit on Cardigan Road in Headingley. It was part of the Leeds Zoological & Botanical Gardens which opened in 1840. Funds were limited and the only large animal they could afford was a Bear which was bought in 1843. The bear was viewed from the top of the turrets. Sunday opening of the gardens was not welcomed by the church and when a vote was held and the church was defeated it was agreed the gardens would open on a Sunday but you had to buy the ticket on a Saturday from a shop on Briggate. The Gardens were divided into building plots and sold off from 1869. I am not sure what happened to the Leeds Bear but the one at Rosherville Gardens at Gravesend, in Kent, was skinned and its meat sold to the local Queens Hotel for the guests to eat

A days training at work and a couple of hours having a look around Hamburg. It was also my first time using my new basic Panasonic DMC-LS6. The photos have been taken quickly so no real skill was applied/tempted.

Photoshoot of our most recent car which does not have an owner. It will be one of the last MT900's with the LS6 motor. Interested? :-)

More photos at my site.

24-Apr-2022 test capture: Meade 6" ACF + Meade 0.63x focal reducer + Baader solar film + Omega CaK double stack, best 50 frames of 250. Captured through a lot of thin cloud and haze.

Got together with my buddy Brandt today to shoot his uncle's one off 68' Chevy. This truck has a crazy amount of custom work done and the majority of it being done in house at Amsley's Auto Body. Oh I also forgot to mention that under the hood lies a CTS-V LS6 crate motor.

This is my studio, circa 2006 at a guess. This was before I moved into a house where I could set it up in its own room.

I wouldn't normally think to post random cell phone images. But I have been going through old shots and realising the inherrent interest value as a vernacular project.

Each one of these shots tells a story. More so than many of the polished artistic shots I post - the things you are 'supposed' to display on your photography website.

I ran the face painting stall with 2 ladies from Leeds Older Active People. I trained them in how to face paint, then together with them we painted about 80 faces on the day!

Hyde Park Unity Day is a community celebration that takes place each summer in Hyde Park (since 1996).

Unity Day was established by local residents who wanted to try and regain a more positive image of the community after riots in 1995.

Each year Unity Day sources over 100 bands, musicians, artists and community groups, all from right here in LS6 to celebrate the talent and diversity that makes up our community.
