Back to the Corn Exchange in Cambridge and the first gigg of 2013. These photos of the Kaiser Chiefs are a mixture of both mobile phone and my small Panasonic Lumix DMC-LS6 so quality could be better if I had my bigger camera.
However, I got to the front row and just to the side of the Mosh pit. My hearing returned very quickly and all the classics were played. The big question is do I buy tickets for when they come to Newmarket Nights later on in the year?

A true necessity for anyone running headers on their LS powered Corevette engine. These innovative spark plug wires specifically designed for LS engines and protect your spark from the heat. Completely handmade and used by engine builders and race teams across the United States. The high temp silicone sleeve and ends produce an amazing 8000 extra volts of dielectric strength normally lost with factory wires. The inner core is a 300 OHM wire wound suppression core that is useable with all types of ignitions. Covering the core is a fiberglass insulator good to 1200 degrees. On top of that is the exterior abrasion resistant silicone sleeve which protects up to 600 degrees. Wires come in red only.

This exceedingly rare 1971 Chevrolet Corvette ZR2 convertible from the famed Ed Foss Collection is a reference-grade multiple award winner of the highest caliber. Known as “Zora’s Racer” after Corvette Chief Engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov, the ZR2’s entry in 1971 was shrouded in mystery, with no pre-production hype, road tests or leaked photographs. The spiritual successor to the mighty racing-purposed L88, the RPO ZR2 Special Purpose LS6 Engine Package followed the same blueprint, matching the new 454/425 HP Mark IV big-block V-8 with the Muncie M22 close-ratio “Rock Crusher” 4-speed manual transmission, transistorized ignition, high capacity aluminum radiator with shroud delete, heavy duty power disc brakes, F41 Special Suspension with specific springs, shocks and front and rear sway bars.
The ZR2’s price tag put it out of the reach of all but 12 fortunate buyers, only two of whom chose the convertible version, making this example one of the rarest big-block Corvettes in the marque’s history. Beyond its unrestored and highly original condition, it is also the lowest mileage ZR2 known to exist, by virtue of its odometer reading of just 8,702 miles. Finished in its factory original Brands Hatch Green paint and Black leather interior, this one-of-two ZR2 convertible comes with both the original Black soft top and color-matching auxiliary hardtop. Its overall presentation has earned many of the Corvette hobby’s most coveted awards, including induction into the Great Hall in 2011 when it also won the MCACN Triple Diamond Award recognizing Corvettes that have earned Bloomington Gold Certification, the NCRS Top Flight Award and MCACN Concours Gold.
In 2015 it was crowned with the rare dual honors of Bloomington Gold Benchmark Certification and Survivor Certification, underlining its value to Corvette historians, judges and future restorers in determining factory authenticity. Subsequently, the car again won NCRS Chapter Top Flight honors at the 2017 Indiana NCRS Spring Meet.

More leads lit up. To have an illuminated glow, I duplicate the line lighting layer, adjust the color darker and more saturated, blur it substantially, then put it underneath the sharper, lighter lit line layer.

This is an 1998 model of General Motor's Pontiac Firebird TransAm. A few years ago, my husband Greg put it up on a lift in the garage to rebuild the engine and transmission and to replace other things like the exhaust system, etc. It took a long time to research for the project and to receive the special order parts so it was a very long, drawn out process. He is so happy to finally have it back on the road after all the blood, sweat and tears. It had over 200,000 miles on it originally and the previous Corvette LS1 engine it came with is now custom upgraded to LS6, which for any non-gear head folks out there, this translates to: wicked fast. It's more power than I think anyone needs but ya know, boys will be boys! :) This paint "Sport Gold Metallic" is the original stock color and they only offered it in 1998 so it's not often you see it on the road. Besides, GM discontinued the TransAm in 2002 due to an oversaturated sports car market, although not many of this particular model/year version were made. Because its unique looking, it tends to turn heads as he drives by. I just hope he's not blasting the sounds of ABBA with the windows down as he does it :O
