Don't normally take aviation stuff but wanted to try to come up with a compelling image out of something that a lot of people consider to be quite mundane.
Found a great spec for taking shots of the planes landing - my little lad didn't want to leave (neither did my 'inner' lad ;o))
Dedicating this one to Alan C ;)
This observation shows striated highlands that are probably the result of what is termed “mass wasting” when material higher up collapses and flows downslope.
Claritas Rupes extends southward from the western edge of Noctis Labyrinthus and divides the volcanic flows of Deadalia Planum and Solis Planum. This area also has other interesting geological features, such as fractures and a graben, which is a depressed block of land bordered by parallel faults.

Bit of a rushed shot here, but this took me by complete surprise, and as it was a fairly active garage it was parked next to, I had to be pretty prompt with my photo! Looks to be absolutely spotless, I've known of this Renault specialist for some time but never expected to see a 12 there. Oddly, this isn't even the only 12 I've seen this year now, I saw another green estate a few weeks later too...

This area, on the western edge of Milankovic Crater on Mars, has a thick deposit of sediment that covers a layer rich in ice. The ice is not obvious unless you look in color.
In the red-green-blue images that are close to what the human eye would see, the ice looks bright white while the surroundings are a rusty red. The ice stands out even more clearly in the infrared-red-blue images where it has a striking bluish-purple tone while the surroundings have a yellowish-grey color.
The ice-rich material is most visible when the cliff is oriented east-west and is shielded from the sun as it arcs through the sky to the south.

This image shows gullies in the walls of a large impact crater in Tempe Terra. These gullies look quite older than other gullies imaged by HiRISE elsewhere on Mars.
We cannot tell what is the absolute age of these “geezer gullies” (that is, how long ago they formed), because actual rock samples would have to be analyzed with radiometric dating techniques to get that information. However, this image indicates that they have been inactive for a long time.
The walls of these venerable gullies have gentle, smooth-looking slopes which contrast with the tall and steep walls of younger gullies. Their floor is even and lacks sharply incised channels that would indicate recent activity. The weathering processes required to produce such a smooth landscape are very slow and thus must have acted during a long period of time.

A perennial favorite area of ours to image because of the stunning rock formations that look fantastic in enhanced color. Arabia Terra may have aqueously-altered bedrock although most of surface is covered by dust, so we need to check out the rare dust-free spots.

The Chinese Zhurong rover, named after the god of fire in Chinese mythology, landed in Utopia Planitia in May 2021. Utopia Planitia is a volcanic region located in the low-lying Northern Hemisphere of Mars.
The expansive, flat, smooth plains of Utopia are dimpled by impact craters, volcanic domes, light-toned ridges made of wind-blown materials, and troughs. If the rover continues to drive south from its landing site, this HiRISE view shows the kind of terrain and features Zhurong may explore.

The second Streetlite to enter service in Signature branding. This is GN14 LPL (30167). It was the first of the two currently in the branding to be done up, but due to having a new engine fitted (from what I could see), it was delayed in entering service. I've got to admit, the branding does look rather smart. However, it had been sat in Church Road for quite a while and they didn't wash it before sending it in service, and so, as can clearly be seen, it has some bird excrement on it. They've also not replaced the bit above the door with glass. Anyway, it is seen on Washford Drive, Redditch, with a 58 Matchborough Circular towards the bus station, located under the cold (and rather boring to look at) Kingfisher Shopping Centre. GN14LPL was new in March 2014 to Regent Coaches. When acquired by the Rotala PLC's Diamond Bus division, it was put into use at their Redditch depot in the standard, plane blue Diamond livery.
