Bath Place in Taunton, Somerset is an historic shopping street of almost entirely independent businesses - and today almost all were closed.
The Christmas shopping isn't going well!
While sipping on a martini, I was listening to some John Newman and I got to thinking. Ever messed up something so bad, you wished you could cast a spell or make a potion to fix it? Screwed up a love interest so bad, but wanted to make him or her forget?
The items from some of the most amazing creators in SL helped me convey that message. In my photo, the girl's spell actually works. The look of shock on her face is the realization she did it, and the storm behind her is the reminder that you cannot mess with the natural order of things.
Taken for the Macro Monday theme of love. A keyring made by one of my grandchildren and it is very much treasured and it is used on my camera bag!
I enjoyed a beautiful weekend walking Sarah Duke gardens and checking out the eagles at Jordan Lake. I was pleased to see some hellibores and trillium blooming as well as buds showing on the trees! What can I say? Love and Happiness! :-) Enjoy your week my friends! ~Sam

our trees are bare. strong winds roar through naked branches. i appreciate trees in all seasons. during winter, they teach me about vulnerability, resilience, and courage. there’s no place to hide—no protective leaves—just bare branches. on friday, i found this cracked, beautiful leaf in a nearly frozen puddle. just like the trees, it teaches me to be real and brave; to allow sun to illuminate wounds; to let love in; let people in; let tears and laughter flow.
Eigentlich war ich am See für den Sonnenuntergang, aber dieses sooo verliebte Pärchen hat mich so fasziniert das der Sonnenuntergang plötzlich nicht mehr das Ziel eines Bildes war.
Ach so was von verliebt waren die beiden.... einfach ein wunderbarer Moment die beiden beobachten zu dürfen.

AND, amazingly, 1963 was the very year that the rose 'Oklahoma' was born - created by Herbert Swim and O. L. Weeks at the Oklahoma State University, in the USA.
It is my Miss 17's most favourite rose. And she also sings 'Love Me Do', even though the lyrics are from 1963, and a lifetime away from her world of Tik Tok and ChatGPT.
But the simple message of love transcends time and resonates with her as she begins her own quest for love!!
