KATELINA (IMO: 9485368) is a Chemical Tanker and is sailing under the flag of Portugal. Her length overall (LOA) is 118.14 meters and her width is 18.63 meters.
Mauna Loa is one of five volcanoes that form the Big Island of Hawaii.
The active shield volcano is the largest volcano on Earth.
The photo was taken from the deck of the Carnival Miracle.
Photo taken from 3,000 ft, but Mauna Loa's summit is almost 14,000 feet. Because it is classified as a shield volcano, the elevation is deceptive. It looks much lower than it is.
Island of Hawaii, Hawaii. Rising gradually to more than 4 km above sea level, Mauna Loa is the largest volcano on our planet. Its long submarine flanks descend to the sea floor an additional 5 km, and the sea floor in turn is depressed by Mauna Loa's great mass another 8 km. This makes the volcano's summit about 17 km (56,000 ft) above its base! The enormous volcano covers half of the Island of Hawai`i and by itself amounts to about 85 percent of all the other Hawaiian Islands. (USGS - Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.) Scanned from an Ektachrome slide.
After Deregulation in 1986, West Midlands Travel won the contract for the X92 from Birmingham to Hereford. I never photographed one there, but here is 2360 in Bewdley.

With the sad demise of well-established Travel deCourcey in August 2020, a number of photos have been sourced from the archives.
LOA 334X began life with WMPTE at Wolverhampton. In October 1988, the vehicle was involved in a bridge-strike which caused a significant amount of damage, however was repaired and returned to service. The vehicle was purchased by Travel deCourcey, becoming a regular sight on school services whilst carrying this non-standard blue and white livery until it was sold to Hamilton's Coaches of Northamptonshire.

Optics was darker, but I could dig more detail in dark parts easily with this DSLR compared to the frame with EOS 5Dmk2-sp2.

That's how the Big Island looks in January! Lovely bay, lovely town across the water, the dormant volcano Mauna Loa looming over it all.
