A year or two ago, I got the chance to shoot a bunch of models in a giant tank of water. It was a great trigger happy day out with 3.5k shots in the bag.
Unfortunately, as the model gracefully moved around in the water, small bubbles or dusty debris were visible under the lights. I have quite a few shots unprocessed where the poses look great but the amount of "bits" in the water would take a lot of work to remove and so were left unprocessed.
Roll forward a few years and my skills with Photoshop have improved to the point where I can actually now be bothered to tackle the images I got.
This is Lucille in the tank, a model who nailed the poses compared to all the others!
Memories long past,
each leaf a page from the past,
dead but never lost.
Having fun with light, leaves and memories long past. Thanks for the favs and kind compliments. They are much appreciated!
Happy Monochrome Bokeh Thursday!
This shot is taken without any tirgger.I set the camera in long exposure mode and i was lucky that i got it after more than 100 shots and Lighting strike in the middle of the busy road.
My second evening visit to Ebury Bridge, just outside London Victoria station, and more light in the sky this time as the days get longer. The Battersea Power Station lights have just come on and provide a fine spectacle in the fading light. The hardest part about taking these photos is trying to get the trains in convenient and photogenic positions. 13th March 2024.
Macro of a flower on my porch, evening photography. My mom brought it out when I was reading on the deck. “Take a picture of this” ok :-)

Another attempt at studio lighting with dark field. This has a black card as a background. It is sitting on a piece of glass that is over black. The lights spotlights that are bounced off a large sheet of white paper behind the black card - the black card in the background is no wider than the shot so light can filter in from around it to give the glass the white definition.
The cameraman adjusting the lighting on his subject. He needed to this as the light was changing quickly with sundown.
Neighborhood Memorial Day parade and run-up to my community's remembrance gathering.
Common. Considered a BIG DEAL by all.

Another from the church in Arezzo, but with a different gesture this time. I think I might print this one up for my study.
NMWA rolls across the Kennebec River between Benton and Fairfield, Maine, as it approaches Waterville Yard with another 300 trio and 52 cars from points east. It was cloudy when I launched my drone, but by some sort of miracle, the sun cracked out about 10 seconds before this frame was taken, disappearing for the day just as the last car was rolling off the bridge.
