Went for a totally different look this week, overall very soft with just a slice of focus. Found three of these small containers at a car boot sale. The trouble with macro photography is dust! These items were second hand and had accumulated lots of dust and grime, which when photographed at such close distances, looks awful so they have all had a good scrub and look much nicer now and worthy of a photo
Vintage mustard pot with a matching pepper pot in the background. Part of what used to be called a table condiments set. The condiments are held inside rather beautiful cobalt blue glass pots.

My grandson was in his seventh grade school play as John, one of Wendy's brothers in Peter Pan. My wife bought him one of these compasses as a congratulatory gift. She liked it so much she bought one for herself. The inscription on the lid is, in case you didn't know, how to fly to Neverland. The compass is 50mm in diameter and the box is 77mm square on the outside and 60mm inside. HMM and thank you for all your views, faves and comments.
3 metal gold coloured lids which I took off the containers they go with. I placed a dirty old cardboard plate (also gold) behind them. Without the dust specks I wouldn't have had any bokeh I think.
HMM!

This is a Japanese coffee pot, quite similar to traditional tea pots. The ptotery style is known as "Banko-Yaki". The interior is not glazed and has an uneven surface, so as to allow absorption of the bitterness, for a more mellow taste.
You just put ground coffee into the pot and pour hot water on it. A stainless steel filter prevents the grounds from getting into your coffee.
It's cute and tastes very nice! 😊
One of my attempts a the "Macro Mondays" theme "Lid".
Shot with a Schneider Kreuznach "Xenon 50 mm F 2 (Diax)" on a Canon EOS R5.
I found this piece in Israel years ago and was very intrigued by the design. After having purchased it in one of the shops in Jerusalem I found out that is used by Bedouin women to apply their eye liner . Approximately 2 “ tall by an inch at the widest part.
The closure of the tube is about 35 mm tall and diameter is 35 mm as well. I put an image of the whole thing in the first comment.
For #MacroMondays and this week's theme #Lid

Macro Monday's and the theme of "Lids".
I left it a bit late to find my subject but while in a supermarket on this Monday morning I found these mini highlighter pens.
So when I finally got home I placed them on a white board and backlit by the bedroom window. I focused the scene to 3 inches on the longest side and set up the lids and also the pens. I then rotated the board so there was a diagonal across the scene and focus was on the lids.
