"Hello, my dear friends from the world of photography!
Time has flown by, and I haven't been the best at staying connected here on Flickr. Over time, I found myself more active on Facebook and Instagram.
I hope you're all doing well, and I'd love to reconnect! Here are my new Instagram links."

Sabratha, Sabratah or Siburata (Arabic: صبراتة), in the Az Zawiyah District in the northwestern corner of modern Libya, was the westernmost of the "three cities" of Tripolis. It lies on the Mediterranean coast about 65km (40 miles) west of Tripoli (ancient Oea). The extant archaeological site was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982.

5 - Tripolis
In 2016/2017 I was happy to find a libyan plate several times a year, meanwhile you can't see them anymore - my last sighting was in 2018. A visit of a car dealer at the outskirts of Leipzig, with whom I had a nice conversation in 2017 and who gave me a libyan plate (which is still hanging in my hallway), resulted in this, probably forgotten Toyota. The car trade did not look very prosperous anymore, this car was standing in the very last corner. I doubt if it will ever be moved again with these plates, but it was great to have another plate with Arabic characters in Leipzig.
Apollonia in Cyrenaica (modern Libya) was founded by Greek colonists and became a significant commercial centre in the southern Mediterranean. It served as the harbour of Cyrene, 20 km (12 mi) to the southwest. Apollonia became autonomous from Cyrene at latest by the time the area came within the power of Rome, when it was one of the five cities of the Libyan Pentapolis, growing in power until, in the 6th century A.D., it became the capital of the Roman province of Libya Superior or Libya Pentapolitana. The city became known as Sozusa, which explains the modern name of Marsa Susa or Susa, which grew up long after the cessation of urban life in the ancient city after the Arab invasion of AD 643.

Two Air Libya RJ100s at Cranfield. Nearest is 5A-FLA which arrived at Cranfield in August 2017. At the time, it was assumed she arrived for maintenance, but here she is over a year later and I think its safe to say she ain't flying out!
Behind is 5A-FLE which has been in for maintenance recently, and has survived the ordeal, looks to be ready to leave shortly.
