Today at Basel under the best lightning conditions (winter time!) and arrived for a cabin completion!
Likely the rarest MD-87 in Europe and most seen at Basel for the usual maintenance duties!

I decided to give a new (and final) try on my last edit. I noticed that it was so fadded, soft, etc, and i wasnt able to replace my old pic..
Like i said before, i was enough lucky for shooting that one. It was on my wishlist and i was more than happy after having him under magical lightning conditions :)
Marvelous weather and timing after a grainy day..a small delay was needed and..everything went perfect that day 😍!
Seen coming back to Kuwait after a couple of months in our area!
Perfect light for the only one 767-400ER VIP in service in the World!
I was on duty near Basel when i saw it performing a test flight nearby and i took my chance during my break.
I can say that try was much better than in May when the lightning conditions were difficult!

After having been missed for a couple of times, i decided to give a try..
Even if the sun isn't on the best position, it was really sunny (especially that it was so much cloudy around) and a big storm above the Black Forest really help for a great shot ;)

I decided to give a new life of a previous edit about that BBJ.
It was a very strange day : wasn't on the plan..later it was and it disappeared suddenly :D but finally, he made it after a small stoppover in Belgrade, Serbia.
I was a bit nervous due to the very strong overcast which was coming from the south (not seen on the shot but it covered the sun 5min later).
Probably my rarest A340-200 catched so far!
It's useless to say that it was a nervous day..it wasn't sunny all the afternoon and suddenly, that 4-hair dryer (most known as A340-8000) came alive on the frequency and rolled during the only moment where the sun showed up for almost 30s 😍!
The BBJ was expected at Dole and came instead around our area! Probably the nicest business jet that i made since with the VP-BRT and the VP-CZW.

But today, things changed ! What an amazing beauty under the best lightning conditions, isn't it?
Seen flying after a couple of months of cabin outfitting at Basel.
I missed the departure but the arrival..wow it was worth to go!

Indeed, the first one was taken a couple of years ago at Nantes (NTE) after a long and stressful hunt althought i was close to make a decent shot.
Today, i only can be satisfied as i made it under the best lightning conditions and my prefered angle.
Well, it was a great day again!
No one was expected the russian one.. he had chosen precisely the right moment for the sunny conditions =)
Yes i know that some will say "you already make it perfectly the last year" but.. you know, it's one of the rarest aircraft in the world!
That's why i couldn't miss the opportunity to catch it again but under the best winter lightning conditions 😍! He was seen again performing a test flight before flying to Saudi Arabia.

Later, the BBJ went to the USA again (after having been re-registered N839BA) and used as a BBJ's demonstrator for Boeing ;)
After several weeks of unsuccessful attempts, he finally made it 😍!
I can admit that i'm a really huge fan of these 4 hair dryers, that's why i couldn't miss that event. I made it perfectly during the night a few years ago without the sticker..today, it was a good reason to make it again 😀.

Like most of the aircraft used by ASA, 5Y-MBA is a former KLM aircraft, in this case PH-DTL

Looks like a normal gulfstream on approach but..the engine's sound was rather special ! A huge whistle and a lot of smoke behind clearly announced the pretty old man (built in 1986) 😜.
Sometimes, i would like to say that the big ones aren't necessarily the most interesting ones..Well, in any case, that GLF3 made my day 😎 !

Although he was a bit high, i tried my best to make an acceptable edit of that beauty 😀!
