Stanley Street, New Cross, Lewisham

GBRf Petroleum retro sub sector liveried 66 794 'Steve Hannam' hauls an oil train through Lewisham. Lewisham has changed dramatically in the past years with new tower blocks and hi-rises now dominating the station casting it into shade. My first shot of one of these retro sub sector liveried 66s and a nice surprise as it came around the corner.

A Train of B07 Stock, No.138 leading, catches the sunlight as it comes over the viaduct into Greenwich Station, heading for the capital, having come from Lewisham. Below it is Deptford Creek. According to DLR practice, each two carriage unit is termed as one 'car' so despite it looking like a six 'car' unit this train is made up of three!

Go-Ahead's EH325 starting out on the road to Orpington on the 208.

Stagecoach's 11001 starting out on the (wet) road to Croydon on the 75.

Taken 7.30am on Wednesday 2nd February 2011.
