Handling: Used an old aluminum tripod (Celestron Photographic Tripod) as a monopod. This tripod doesn't have a ball head and the pan head is too restrictive to effectively photograph birds in flight. Shooting monopod-style, however, it is surprisingly effective.
Priority: Aperture Priority
Photoediting, Photoshop Elements 5: Crop and lighting adjustments. Possibly some color and sharpening adjustments too.

on Cheesewring rocks, Minions, Bodmin Moors. It has magical powers apparently to levitate people ;-)
The Cheesewring is a series of stone naturally formed from thousands of years of weathering in the moorland. at 1000 ft above sea level, it's a bit of a trek from the car park, ho ho ho.

Single long exposure light painting-
Hey everyone! Havent had the chance to post in awhile due to college, but on the bright side I am taking a photography film class this semester and I get to shoot more often than usual :D
Film has been a lot of fun, and this is one of my test shots using a digital camera so I wouldn’t waste any film.
I accomplished the levitating look by resting on a black bench and when light painting only kept the flash light on myself and not the bench! Single long exposure for about 35 seconds.
I hope everyone is doing wonderful, i have been doing great and am actually looking forward to halloween! What do you plan on being for this once a year event? Im going to be poison ivy because i have recently dyed my hair red!
Have a great weekend everyone, hope you enjoy the photo
I saw an Asian girl blog about levitation photos she was making. I've been wanting to try it for a while and today at lunch I trekked my gear into an opening at a nearby state park and set up a few tries.
Still need some work. I think next time, I'll ditch the flash and use just natural light. I think that I pop out of the image too much and it looks photoshopped. Might look more natural with available light, no?
This is just one of my photos from a story board I was putting together for my Graphics class to fit in with my Surreal theme. I seem to look more on the scary side of it than the 'fantasy' images I've seen people do before. Not one of my best pieces of work but it was just something I had to do to fit in with my surreal story.
MY TWIN BROTHER CHECKS OUT!! I guess he really "trascended" during our meditation session. He has become GRAND MASTER of meditation. No, really, I set up the lighting low (floor level) to make it go in the direction of the levitating object/person. It was fairly soft light, which created a certain ambiance of, may I say, tranquility or serenity, despite the "surprise". I chose the white background to contrast with the dark clothing of the yogis.
