19/05/2016; For once I can say I have been shooting at a high level, without sounding like an arse... ;)
But seriously, it is awesome to have 4 bridges, all in completely different styles, within 1 kilometer of each other. So you will see more photos of these bridges in (some of) the next photos I will upload of Newcastle.
Fun fact; while I was standing here shooting this photo, Frans Sellies was about a quarter mile away, without me knowing. :D

*[Funny Story: I found out many cruises ago, when you go to bed, wrap your camera gear in towels and put it in a closet or drawer (in an 'airconditioned' cabin), otherwise, when you leave and encounter that very humid sea air...YOUR LENSES FOG UP!! I forgot to do that on this morning and was devastated when I couldn't clear them no matter what I did!! (Didn't want to miss this!!) Finally, I was able to salvage a few shots...but you can see they're still a touch foggy.]
Leadenhall Market and surrounding streets with different styles of fancy buildings in The Old Square mile of The City of London.
Two years ago, we bought a vegan donut from a coffee shop in Madison and we both agreed that it was the best donut we’ve ever had.
It was very exciting to learn that the makers of those donuts, Level 5 Donuts, just opened up a storefront at the beginning of May. It’s the 30th vegan establishment we’ve visited, which we hope to visit again.
The donuts we purchased were mixed berry cheesecake, chocolate brownie, churro, and a glazed old fashioned cake. They were all fantastic but I’d definitely go with the cake donut as my favorite (I’ll take cake over a yeast donut any day). So delicious!
Photographed from Eastcheap, opposite Rood Lane, with the massive building at 20 Fenchurch Street looming over St Margaret Pattens church.
The 38 storey 20 Fenchurch Street, also known as the "walkie talkie" building, is 525 feet tall. Construction was completed in spring 2014, and the three-floor "sky garden" was opened in January 2015.
The building gets it's "walkie talkie" nickname because of it's shape and is not without some controversy. It won the Carbuncle Cup in 2015, awarded by Building Design magazine to the worst new building in the UK during the previous year.
During the building's construction, it was discovered that for a period of up to two hours each day if the sun shines directly onto the building, it acts as a concave mirror and focuses light onto the streets to the south. Spot temperature readings at street-level including up to 91 °C (196 °F) and 117 °C (243 °F) were observed during summer 2013, when the reflection of a beam of light up to six times brighter than direct sunlight shining onto the streets beneath damaged parked vehicles.
In July 2015, the building was criticised in having an unexpected impact on wind strength at street-level. The City of London Corporation received an increased number of complaints about draughts around 20 Fenchurch Street following its completion.
St Margaret Pattens church was first recorded in 1067, at which time the church was probably built from wood. It was then rebuilt in stone but fell into disrepair and had to be demolished in 1530. It was rebuilt again in 1538 but was destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666. The present church was built by Sir Christopher Wren in 1687. It is one of only a few City churches to have escaped significant damage in the Second World War.
Don't believe what your eyes are telling you. All they show is limitation. Look with your understanding, find out what you already know, and you'll see the way to fly.

On days like this, oh how I wish to be flying in the clouds. Maybe going for a short trip, having lunch with a friend and flying home. Daydreamin.

Playing with my new, one-day-old Nikon SB-900. It's a speedlight and it really rocks. I still haven't read the user's manual but I was just trying it out and I came up with this. Do let me know what you guys think cause I'm new to alternate strobe lights and flashes at an angle.
One flash at ground level at 45 degree angle. Shot with a cable release.
Thanks.
Hay Moor at Stoke St Gregory on the Somerset levels is approximately 12' below the River Tone which runs at the top of the embankment to the left of the picture. The wind powered water pump drains the water into a series of ditches and dykes which is then lifted by electric pump back into the river. In 2014 as a result of severe storms caused by climate change, the Levels suffered catastrophic flooding with many families losing their homes.
