Another question please... Tripods! Sad to say I'm rubbish at looking after things, and after many dunkings in rivers and not letting it dry out properly, one of the fliplocks has snapped on my poor little 3 Legged Thing. What tripod do you use, do you rate it, and is it heavy? I'm looking for something reasonably lightweight because I'm a weakling 😁

Now for something completely different,this shot of an industrial site was taken several months ago.The contrast in the light caught my attention, the illuminated industrial complex against the dark threatening sky, was then highlighted further by the bellowing steam from the one tower that added further contrast.
This is long overdue. It is time I stop letting people hold me back. This is my life and I won't be told what is right or wrong.
Make up your own damn mind people. Do not let society, politics, friends or family tell you how to think, who to support or how to behave or hold you back. The best you can do is be who you are and be proud of it and stand for what you feel is RIGHT!
If you have problems like I do, look yourself in the mirror and ask yourself what you can do to make your own life better than reach out and take that bull by the horns and show it who the boss is. You are your own boss.

Black Kite (Milvus migrans)
I haven't seen a Black Kite for about three years.
We were on the balcony hoping to see some of the aircraft from the Avalon Air Show ( no luck with the planes) and I jokingly said 'wouldn't it be great if a Kite, Goshawk or Eagle flew past.' Five minutes later this one appeared above our house, and my phone started pinging with messages from neighbours letting me know it was here.

Several contacts have asked to see more takes of the new pup in our house ... so had a nice temperature today and went down to visit my dad outside so he could see how big Moose is getting.
Moose found one of my sister's stockings and ran off into the yard with it from off the deck.
I took this one handed, and the other tugging back on the stocking, which Moose was not letting go of. Already had the focus point off center for some other takes I was getting, so it worked well here to place that over his rotten eye ;)
He is approaching 4 months in age ... I think that places him in the rotten twos if I am not mistaken ...
Been overloaded with emotions and stress. That moment of peace when you let go for just a moment before getting back to reality.

I found this gaur in one of the darkest corners of the forest, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much light at all. Then he stepped into this small patch of sun and everything changed. He stood there quietly, breathing, watching, letting the moment unfold at its own pace. No rush. No noise. Just a huge, gentle presence in the stillness. These are the kinds of encounters that stay with me long after I leave the jungle.
