A ranch road winds its way through rugged country.
As we bounced along over rocks in a truck with air-filled tires and shock absorbers, it was easy to understand how much harder on a body this must have been in the days of stage coaches and wagons with metal-rimmed wooden wheels.
at a point in life where ending it seems to be a relieving option, it needs people who make life worth living again.
Whilst it's often tempting to include the whole of an interesting tree, filling the frame with the details can also work well. Sometimes less is more!

-Il bianco è un colore con alta luminosità ma senza tinta. Più precisamente contiene tutti i colori dello spettro elettromagnetico ed è chiamato anche colore acromatico. Il nero è l'assenza di colori.
-L'impressione della luce bianca è creata dall'unione di certe intensità dei colori primari dello spettro: rosso, verde e blu. Bisogna notare che l'illuminazione prodotta con questa tecnica è diversa da quella prodotta dall'incandescenza.
-La parola bianco deriva dall'alto tedesco antico blanch, modificato in blank con il significato di "splendente".
-Prima che venisse accettata la teoria di Newton, la maggior parte degli scienziati riteneva che il bianco fosse il colore fondamentale della luce, e che gli altri colori si formassero solamente con l'aggiunta di qualcosa alla luce. Newton invece dimostrò che il bianco era formato dalla combinazione di altri colori.
-La luce bianca, al passaggio attraverso un prisma di cristallo, crea un arcobaleno con la gamma completa dei colori, suddividendosi infatti in tutti i colori da cui è composta.
-Nella scienza della luce c'è un continuum di colori della luce che possono esser chiamati "bianco". Alcuni di questi colori sono quelli emessi tramite l'incandescenza da un corpo a temperatura molto elevata (v. Radiazione di corpo nero): per esempio, il colore della radiazione emessa da un corpo nero riscaldato alla temperatura di 2848 kelvin è grosso modo equivalente alla luce della lampadina a incandescenza per uso domestico. Si dice pertanto che quest'ultima ha una temperatura di colore di 2848 kelvin. La luce bianca emessa dalle lampade di teatro ha invece una temperatura di colore superiore: circa 3200 K; la luce del giorno ha una temperatura di colore di 5400 K, ma può variare da un rosso freddo fino a un blu a 25000 K. Non tutte le radiazioni di un corpo possono essere considerate luce bianca: la temperatura della radiazione dell'universo, ad esempio, è solo di pochi kelvin ed è quasi invisibile.
-Nella tradizione cinese e indiana, il bianco è il colore del lutto, della morte e dei fantasmi.
-La bandiera bianca è un segno internazionale di arresa o armistizio, cioè simbolo di intenti pacifici in tempo di guerra.

I received this wonderful outfit from Denise and couldn't have been more happy.
I captured the two images that make up this Vertorama on Thursday last week… less than a minute before I got totally drenched by the most incredible thunderstorm that I have seen in years!!
As soon as I heard the first thunderclap and noticed the rapidly darkening sky… I was in my car and driving like a lunatic towards Melkbos Strand… where I hoped that I would find some nice compositions to accompany this amazing weather. I arrived at the beach just as the first drop of rain hit my windscreen… and I judged that I’d have no more than about five minutes of shooting before the heavens opened up.
Except for some fishermen a few hundred meters away… and this father and daughter enjoying the water… the beach was completely deserted. It was so hot and humid that I was considering going for a swim myself… I’m glad that I decided to shoot rather than swim though… I got so completely soaked by the rain… that I certainly didn’t need to go for a swim to cool down. :)
The sky in this Vertorama might look like I darkened it and boosted the contrast… but this was exactly how it looked… very dark… and very oppressive… a month’s worth of clouds all packed into one sky… it was totally awesome… more than I could have wished for!!

The Texas panhandle was the last stop on our recent chicken run and the target bird was the Lesser Prairie Chicken. We were definitely not disappointed as there were close to 20 males and at least three females on the lek putting on one heck of a show, often at such close range that I wasn’t able to even focus on the bird. It was a great way to wrap things up.

O que ontem era tecnologia de ponta, hoje é uma pirâmide de lixo. Vivemos numa sociedade consumista que nos incentiva a acumular objectos, um contraste entre a obsessão de nos arruinarmos na compra do produto mais moderno e o desprezo total por objectos que rapidamente se tornam obsoletos, inúteis.
A intervenção procura mostrar esta realidade em que uma perspectiva distorcida rapidamente se torna clara, sendo tudo uma questão de ponto de vista.
O espaço onde se insere a JOIO não podia ser mais oportuno, o Tribunal da Boa Hora, outrora um símbolo do poder da sociedade moderna, da justiça, hoje é um edifício devoluto, abandonado, esquecido por não se adequar aos parâmetros da mesma.
What yesterday was high technology, today is a pyramid of garbage. We live in a consumerist society that encourages us to accumulate objects, a contrast between the obsession of ruining ourselves with the purchase of the most modern product and the complete disregard for items that quickly become obsolete, useless.
The intervention seeks to show this reality in which a distorted perspective quickly becomes clear, since everything is a matter of point of view.
The Court of Boa Hora,once a symbol of power in modern society, of justice, today is a building vacant, abandoned, forgotten for not fitting the parameters of this same society which makes this builing the most appropriate place to display an intervention with this theme.

-Il rosso è uno dei colori dello spettro percepibile dall'occhio umano. Ha la frequenza minore e, conseguentemente, la lunghezza d'onda più lunga di tutti gli altri colori visibili (tra 630 e 760 nanometri).
-Frequenze ancora minori ricadono nell'infrarosso.
-La parola rosso deriva dal latino rŭssum corradicale di rŭbeum.
-Il rosso è il colore più stimolante e coinvolgente di tutto lo spettro. Esprime slancio, velocità, potere e gioia, ma anche pericolo e passione. È un colore eccitante perché stimola il sistema nervoso centrale, aumentando il battito cardiaco e la pressione.
