Here is a view of the axles on the fully assembled truck. In the center, you can see the drive L-motor and powered-up battery/control unit. The control unit is mounted upside down for easy access to the on/off button. In front, the turquoise steering motor is partially covered by plates.

Lego Technic Merlo ROTO Telehandler in 1:11 scale.
The dimensions: 80 x 25 x 30 cm, total weight – 5,7 kg. The max height is 83 cm. The model contains approximately 5100 parts. The model has eight remote controlled functions (three S-bricks, 14 motors).
After the mobile crane, I figured I'd try a slightly more "Technic" oriented model - the LEGO Technic 4x4 Crawler (model 9398).
This is about 1/3rd into the build. We're on diagram 55, which is page 1 of the second (of three) booklets for constructing this model.

A closeup of the differential gears - wikipedia has a nice description of how this thing works.
En principio había diseñado un engranaje excesivamente complejo, pero sobre la marcha me he dado cuenta de que solo necesitaba dos ruedas y ajustar la velocidad de la manivela para ver las imagenes.

It's a 1327 piece kit with three motors, differentials, counter steering, and a generally nice focus on gears. So let's build this thing!
As with all things: toujours, mise-en-place. It takes a few minutes before you start to sort most of the pieces, but it's really not that much work, and it means you're not spending an hour just looking for parts through the build process =D
Lego Technic Crawler
With 6 PF Motors
- Subtraction Drive with 2 XL Motors
- 360° endless Rotation of the crane with 1 M Motor
- Tilt 1 with 1 M Motor
- Tilt 2 with 1 M Motor
- Winch with 1 M Motor
Overall weight: 2,8kg
Remote Controlled
It's my MOC - remote controlled Lego Technic Icebreaker. It was my first icebreaking experience so the model isn't too effective. But now I know that it's real and I know how the model can be improved. Propulsion - 2xXL, rudder - 1x9V motor, dimensions: 75x15x33 cm, total weight with batteries and stabilizer – 2480 g. I used RC-unit for comfortable out-door control.
