Lego model of the British Class E side tank shunter introduced by Worsdell in 1886. A whoppig 120 units were built between 1886 and 1895. Minor changes then led to the J72 design. In 1961, the last J71 was finally withdrawn from service, after 74 year in operation.
I chose this prototype, because the design with inside cylinders and internal valve gear lent itself best to make an (almost) scale model with functioning pneumatic engine. The machine has serious torque, will start in any position (no dead center), and can already be operated with a single Lego hand pump. No pneumatic parts were harmed or modified during the process, just some silicone oil applied!
I know I have been serious about moccing for most of the year so far, but since I'm young and still developing, my hormones tell me to make things like this.

Managed to make my 42077 super dirty during the weekend but I'm not happy with the video.. weather was stupidly cold and windy, had some technical difficulties as well, will need to reshoot this week.
KIT is 19 years old. She is paying her way through college via killing people for money. This character sounds edgy as hell and I made this MOC like 2 years ago.
If you like what you see consider a fav, comment, and a big fat follow.
During construction this MOC was referred to only as 'nimrod," which is entirely irrelevant, but is also the only thing I have to say about her right now. Review coming soon over in YT land.

My fourth Truck Trial. This one took all the knowledge that I have learned from my previous trucks. I worked a lot on where the weight would be in the truck, and how that would affect stability. Worked to keep the wheelbase short, and the weight low.
One PF XL for the drive, and one PF M for the steering. Portal axles on both the front and the rear. Both axles have pendular suspension, and are connected to one another for maximum stability. There is no fake engine.
I was pleased with the results, however because of the low weight the truck struggled with loose dirt.

In this picture you can see how the two pendular axles are connected by technic beams between the Battery Boxes and the frame. Suspension worked well, and kept the heavy truck planted on the ground.
Hope you enjoy. More pictures at www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=thirdwigg. Email thirdwig@yahoo.com for a Chicago Truck Trial Race.
