Sorry for the poor background.

A vast swath of the Vatican hillside is now covered in a veritable private forest. While this area of the gardens, known as the English Garden, is no less sprinkled with picturesque fountains along meandering paths, it is mostly obscured by the dense growth of trees. Including these details in the model despite the fact they would ultimately be covered by the dense foliage was a no-brainer to me. Designing a detailed landscape at any scale, I believe, requires the utmost attention to detail as it only takes one loose thread to burst a seam. Putting philosophical rigor aside for a moment, the obscured grounds of the English Garden were the perfect spot to hide a few biblical Easter eggs!

Sometimes you start a MOC and it takes several years to complete it, and then another year to take proper photos of it. This is one of those MOCs.

This is my deep dive into modular buildings. So far I really like it? It is fun to create buildings that are made of all these bits of inspiration of Portland locations. The art store is a love letter to the now defunct Art Media in downtown Portland.

This is my latest Moc an Visitor Centre located near a river. It's modeled after a paddle boat.

It is a modular fish market sized 64x32 studs comprising seven pavilions and few bridges. The market is divided into wet goods and dry goods zone, with shops ranged from fish stalls, flower shop and grocery stores at Ground, and cafe and restaurant on the 1st Floor. Vibrant Coral and Dark Azur are adopted as colour palette of the design. Built with several types of window frames, a huge canopy provides weather proection to the people below. Enjoy shopping and eating with proper distancing!

This is the view by which most would instantly recognize Taj Mahal. While the primary factor in its recognition would certainly be the sight of the mausoleum upon the horizon, the far more foundational elements of this particular view are, unquestionably, the Mughal Gardens themselves: so much so, that upon nearing completion of the foundations for the riverside mausoleum platform, the builders of Taj Mahal immediately began planting trees according to the prescribed garden layout to ensure their abundant growth by the time the complex was completed. The garden layout itself, is that of a Charbagh (Persian, meaning “four gardens”). As the name suggests, these distinctly Indo-Islamic variations of the much older Persian paradise gardens are defined by quadrilateral gardens, subdivided by walkways following narrow channels of flowing water toward a central spring.

This cut-away model of the Ford Piquette plant attempts to show the construction techniques of old mill style factory buildings. The Piquette plant had load bearing brick walls with wooden beams supporting two layer wooden floors. Albert Kahn's reinforced concrete factory designs as exemplified in the Ford Highland Park factory complex soon replaced this older style of factory.

Historic photos of the interior showed work tables along the windows and car chassis with only the front wheels installed in the middle. The fire doors on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the model are "functional" in that they slide open or closed. The "front office" portion of the building was longer than just the two bays depicted here; I used selective compression so I could show a portion of the "shop floor". While a few experiments with a moving assembly line were conducted at the Piquette plant, most cars were built in place with the workers bringing the various parts to the chassis.

The "LES" on the top of the exterior is the tail end of the slogan originally painted on the building "THE HOME OF THE CELEBRATED FORD AUTOMOBILES".

The model measures 20" L x 15" W x 12.5" high (50.8cm L x 38.1cm W x 21.7cm high). If I modeled the entire length of the factory, the model would have to be 107 inches (273 cm) long.

Brookside Mansion

I am very proud to unveil my most challenging work to date, The Brookside Mansion! The mansion was originally constructed in 1889 by the industrialist John H. Bass. It now serves as the administration building for the University of Saint Francis, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The Sisters of Saint Francis of Perpetual Adoration acquired the building in 1944 and converted it into a university. Originally the mansion was the only building to house the university but, as the university campus grew, it served in many roles and, as mentioned, now serves as the administration building.

In 2009, the Sisters began a restoration of the building and did an breath taking job of bringing it back to its original glory while modernizing it where needed.

It is truly a spectacular architectural delight and a dream design for any LEGO designer. I was truly honoured to be chosen for such a monumental task.

Part Count: 63807

Dimensions: 51.3" x 54.2" x 31.1"

Foundation works on Eiffel Tower began on January 28, 1887. The construction of the world’s first structure to reach 300 meters was nothing short of a herculean undertaking ...

This is my model of Chrysler Building in Lego Architecture size!

I don't know why Lego has not yet done a set for this iconic skyscraper.

I don't think it is a copyright matter, however it could not miss in my collection of architectural landmarks!

Very loosely inspired from the new Houses of Parliament set.

Vanilla House is a modern home with two floors. The ground floor house body is tan coloured and shaped like an "L". This is cut through by an inverted "L" consisting of many small plates in tan, dark tan, DBG, LBG and black.

Downstairs you find a kitchen, TV-lounge and bathroom. A black, floating staircase leads to the bedroom upstairs. The bedroom has glass walls to let in the light. The roof offers shadow.

The geometrical shapes inspired me to start building this MOC. In some way it is like a puzzle game.

Music corner and stairs leading down to the kitchen of Calmwater Cliff House MOC.

Calmwater Cliff House is located on a cliff by the beach. Two floors with a terrace on each floor. Downstairs you find a spacious kitchen and dining area, a bathroom and home office. Upstairs you find a music corner with sea view, a bedroom and the main entrance.

As you see it´s a LEGO house and I´ve mainly used the colours black, dark tan, tan and reddish brown.

I wanted to make a modern home - in some way inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright and the colours of the 20th century - updated to 21st century lifestyle.

Work in Progress. I hope it'll be finished at the end of the year.

Clearer Renders of MEL International Recreated in Lego Digitally!

Västmanlands-Dala Nation is one of the 13 student nations at Uppsala University in Sweden. The house of Västmanlands-Dala Nation drawn by the Finnish architect Alvar Aalto was built in 1965. Lego microscale model consists of about 950 bricks. Computer rendering but buildable if you have the bricks.

House of Three is a contemporary Scandinavian family home. I've tried to catch contemporary Scandinavian architecture in colours, floor plan and roof design. The interior and furniture in inspired by IKEA and other Scandinavian designs. Comfortable living suitable for a small family.

This creation is built on moduverse plates. The garden can be removed and divided into two parts.

The awesome taxi is a moc by T.Bricks (thilo-schoen.de). He has more cool models and even writes books, go check him out! TV camera and piano a based on mocs by Kristel (rebrickable.com/users/Kristel/) and SleepyCow (rebrickable.com/users/SleepyCow/) Thanks so much for being so generous! ❤️

Original building was constructed in 1645 as a private palace in Uppsala, Sweden. From 1710 the building was used as the town hall. The building received its current exterior in 1883.

Modular building is constructed of three parts, 32x32 studs, where the middle part can be used as a separate modular building. Middle part contains a staircase. Total about 13000 bricks. Some bricks have been chosen in colors that are not currently available to make the final result look more like the real building. Computer rendering.

Based on the BCD after-market instructions, this MOC features a roll up door for the delivery/loading dock, an expanded deck for the residence above, and an additional floor of living area.

A 10243 Parisian Cafe`, heavily modified/MOC'ed. Changes include: additional seating outside, front and back; additional seating inside; access to the rear porch seating through the cafe`; bathroom; expanded kitchen area; a separate access path for the residence (not through the cafe` seating area); fully appointed residence (to include a galley kitchen, living room, and bathroom on the first floor, and the artist studio and bedroom on the second floor). The whole MOC is the compilation of 2-10243's (minus one of the kitchens - that went into the Asian Restaurant), plus a few assorted pieces from my own collection.

I'm so proud to present you one of my personal MOC, designed by me and nobody else! :)

This is the faithful model of the Cathedral of Trani, my hometown in Puglia (Italy).

The scale is very similar to the one of Lego Architecture style, as usual.

I designed it in Studio before, and in the end I also managed to build it, with the important help (and tolerance!) of my wife Malwina! :*
