This is very experimental and may change in the near future. The initial building has 816 1x2 trans clear plates and 36 trans clear cheese slopes. Currently the building would be the third tallest in Brickville.

This will be the ONLY all trans skyscraper. Ever.

One either side of the east-west ends of the Charbagh, stand identical Naubat Khana, or “Drum Houses.” Each of the Naubat Khana are positioned along the crenellated walls at the terminus of the water channels. While both largely provide punctuation along the otherwise continuous arcade of the perimeter walls, their functional uses have varied between housing water tanks for irrigation when first built, to the west Naubat Khana serving as the Taj Mahal Museum today. Both are increased in prominence by the marble-domed chhatris at the rooftop as well as intricately tiled, raised porches facing the center of the Charbagh.

Tiger’s Nest is the popular name of the Paro Taktsang Monastery.

It’s a prominent Himalayan Buddhist sacred site and temple complex, located in the cliff-side of the upper Paro Valley in Bhutan. The initial temple complex was built in 1692.

The monastery is located 10 kilometers (6.2 mi) to the north of Paro and hangs on a precipitous cliff at 10,240 feet above sea-level, about 3,000 feet above the Paro Valley.

The monastery buildings consist of four main temples and residential buildings. They are ideally designed by adapting to the rock (granite) ledges, the caves and the rocky terrain.

This Lego Model of the Monastery has taken around eight months to build with approximately 200,000 parts.

This work in progress is LEGO model of a mid-rise structure in or near downtown Detroit. The image shows a portion of the building that is just over half the footprint of the soon to be completed model.

Presumably it is not quite as obscure as my recently completed DTE substation.

Some bricks have been chosen in colors that are not currently available to make the final result look more like the real building. Computer rendering.

Model Info:

The model has 2097 pieces and measures 65.92 x 16.16 x 20.48 (x,y,z) centimeters, (25.95 x 6.36 x 8,06 inches). The idea is try to respect the real proportion of the aqueduct.

Motivation:

As a fan of the LEGO Architecture series, I was surprised there were no official sets of this monument one of the most important sturcture of the ancient Roman Empire a collossal engineer structure.

In addition to the waters of the Acqua Paolo from which they sprang, the Vatican Gardens originated, in large part, due to Pope Nicholas III’s love of meditating among shady pines and his fascination with the medicinal properties of plants. This interest continued under his successor, Nicholas IV, who tasked his doctor, Simon of Genoa, with cultivating various herbs and plants in an effort to distill arcane remedies and healing tinctures. It was this thirteenth-century papal initiative that resulted in more than just the first botanical garden in Europe (known as the Viridarium Novum), but also provided a key stepping stone in the development of the formal scientific study of plants, or botany, as a branch of medicine.

While I would like to think my methods of designing and building a new landscape piece are just as scientific a process, I do enjoy the occasional self-indulgent departure from vernacular. That is why I hope you’ll indulge me further by spying the two biblical Easter eggs, both of which are on full view in this shot!

Artsand House MOC is a flirt with brutalism. A modern home with art gallery, spa and large bedroom with a garden view. Quadrangular concrete house bodies meet organic nature. A dog is waiting for the owner to come home.

In August 2019 I displayed some of my houses at the Kloss på Kloss exhibition in Hässleholm, Sweden. A visitor asked me if I didn´t have any brutalist houses. I said no and explained that it probably would be too boring. It would be hard to create the dynamics needed to make a modern house MOC interesting. After the exhibition I started thinking and decided to give brutalism a chance. Not purist brutalism, but rather contemporary architecture flirting with brutalism...

House of Three is a contemporary Scandinavian family home. I've tried to catch contemporary Scandinavian architecture in colours, floor plan and roof design. The interior and furniture in inspired by IKEA and other Scandinavian designs. Comfortable living suitable for a small family.

This historic precedent of Colonial Georgian Architecture sits at the heart of Philadelphia's old city center. Independence Hall also played a crucial role in the founding of the United States, as its storied assembly rooms witnessed the signing of both the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and the Constitution in 1787.

Situated in Hoi Tan Street of Sham Shui Po, the Kwan Tai Temple is the only temple in Kowloon to house the deity of Guan Yu from the Three Kingdoms period. Behind the entrance paifang, a courtyard was created to contain a Chinese pavilion and a censer at centre. Kwan Tai Temple was originally abutting the sea. The site was soon become an inland area after several reclaimations. Right behind the temple, there is the Sham Shui Po Public Dispensary, a Grade II historical building which also worths a visit.

️ The Colosseum was built both to cement the Flavian dynasty firmly in the hearts & minds of Roman citizens, and to return a portion of Rome back to its people after so much had been swallowed up by Nero's personal residence. ️

🗽 It was the proximity of the enormous bronze Colossus that gave the Flavian Amphitheatre its colloquial name during the middle ages. 🗽

History:

The Pont du Gard is an ancient Roman aqueduct that crosses the Gardon River near the town of Vers-Pont-du-Gard in southern France. The Pont du Gard, built as three tiers of archways to bring water to the city of Nîmes, is the highest of all elevated Roman aqueducts, and one of the best preserved. It was added to UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites in 1985 because of its historical importance.

The bridge has three tiers of arches, stands 48.8 m (160 ft) high, and descends a mere 2.5 centimetres (1 in) – a gradient of only 1 in 18,241 – while the whole aqueduct descends in height by only 12.6 m (41 ft) over its entire length, which is indicative of the great precision that Roman engineers were able to achieve using simple technology. The Nîmes aqueduct was built to channel water from the springs of the Fontaine d'Eure near Uzès to the castellum divisorum (repartition basin) in Nimes

Brick Model Info:
