Here's my entry for the fourth round of the SW Moc-Olympics! ( www.imperiumdersteine.de/index.php?/topic/42049-ids-mocol... )
Category: Forbidden Love!?
I'm re-publishing old lego creations on flickr.
This is Eiretech's Heavy lifting ship, Bison. It carries special or unique cargo within a star system.
This particular unit is carrying a living habitat for a monk.
The monk has just had all of his religion's holy texts uploaded directly into his brain. For the next century he will do nothing but meditate and sift through the terabites of sacred data in his head. To do this he must live alone in solitude. He is being taken to live on a sleeping comet deep inside the star system's Oort cloud.
While I do like walking tank style mechs with heavy weaponry and thick boxy armor, I sometimes feel like there are many unexplored aesthetics within the mecha genre. I thought it would be fun to do a mech with more organic elements and no guns.
A couple months back, Simon and myself decided we wanted to do some sort of collaboration for BrickCon, even though I wasn't able to attend.
What you see here is the result. Fond memories of reading Calvin and Hobbes growing up for both of us made it an easy choice for what to do!
Hope you guys enjoy!
Fighter bomber used in attacking moon-based installations.
Inspired by Tom Green. Jusk kidding. Or am I?...
This one started off really chunky and with awkward angles so I just went with it rather than try to smooth them out. Kinda feel like my last couple of Vic Vipers have diminished in quality so I might quit while I'm behind. If I have another brainwave for NoVVember I'll build it in the next week but I think I'm done. What a blast!
So, what's next month???
Size comparing time!
This babys armed with a flamethrower which can be adjusted to any level of hotness.
A hardcore titanium rail cage to protecet against zombes, bullets, etc
Duel action chainsaws so the choppin' never ends
And Duel miniguns so you dont have to Reload :D
Price $2,000 USA
3,400 Can

Story
Heimdall is a reconnaissance spaceship. Powered by a single yet powerful thermonuclear engine from BST (Benny Space Technologies), coupled with a high-energy particles grabber under the cockpit that helps to replenish fuel supplies on a long missions. To disperse a ridiculous amounts of heat from reactor's core a series of thermo-dump panels are mount beneath the fuselage. Being a reconnaissance ship it is also equipped with a sensors array under the cockpit and some ion cannons at each wing, you known, just in case....
Design and build
It took me more than 5 months to design and build it. A major inspiration comes from amazing artwork by Michal Kus. Especially the color-blocking and indentations at the front of the wings were a place from which I started. Along the way I shifted things my own way to suit ideas that were jumbling inside my head or I just wanted to incorporate, like the thermo-dump panels from Hamilton's series of books. There were many fun challenges along the way not only related to its geometry or color-blocking but also in making sure that this flying mosaic would be rigid. All of this required many rebuilds and tests but I had a blast doing all of this :)
Building instructions
For anyone curious how Heimdall is built or want to look at some building techniques I have created a studio model based on the actual build. It should be more handy than a regular step-by-step instructions. You can download it from here github.com/lechkulina/Heimdall

Escaping from the tomb and putting someone else in their place.
Rather than quoting Bible verses you're going to hear a whole lot today and half of you will discredit as cult utterances, I thought I'd just put this out instead: Angels, Heaven, and other aspects of our faith are concepts difficult to wrap one's head around, and right now we can't. So a lot of people dismiss them as petty imaginings and larger-than-life reflections of things we can see and touch. "Giant humans with bird wings? Haha how pagan."
Consider, just for a brief while, the implications of perhaps these being original concepts; our concepts and ideas little reflections that are missing pieces, and the only way those who saw angels or Heaven could describe them was through Earthly terms, resulting in outrageous-sounding descriptions filled with lions' heads, wheels within wheels, and a lot of gold when there simply was no way to utter the element that made their appearance unutterable. Plato, though not completely right, had hit on something with his Myth of the Cave, now you just need someone to guide you out of it...
This brief little build is also destined to be an entry for FLONAPRIL, it seems: www.flickr.com/groups/flonapril/

Yeah, so it happened. I used wheels as engines. Even more, technically biggest Lego wheels ever, not counting tyres of course.
So I built an M113. On the surface it might seem like a pretty simple build, but its not really. The front slope was a massive headache to get right. Credit to Ekjohnson for the idea, I was fiddling around with just the one half size plate forever until I saw your awesome model and thought to add the plate, if that makes any sense, haha.
I added some numbers on the side because that seemed like the cool thing to do, I guess. All in all a relatively quick build so I might post a rebuild in the next couple days once I get the time to really refine it. Until then, enjoy! And thanks for checking it out.
PS, check out my YouTube page. Just search 'Carpet Lego' on YouTube.
I did the Lego thing...because it's January...
Please ignore the ludicrously stubby arms.
I have a few things from my backlog to post as well as some more drone-y goodness coming soon, so keep an eye out!
Enjoy!
A small antique shop specialising in maps, sea faring books and other nautical antiques, built for the Rebrick Modular Building Anniversary Contest.
Been wanting to come up with a universal fuel cell for ships for some time. It was always a fun thing as kid when to try to always incorporate the basic one at that time (2x2 round with plate on bottom and tile on top. This feels like a modern variation on that old friend. I need some 1x1 rounds in transclear for 'empty' ones. I do like the T bar on this that will act as a plug in for energy transfer conduits or the like. They are also stackable and lock in top to bottom nicely.
So as promise (from October), here he is, the Phantom Virus. Originally started as a contest entry into J\'s Customs Scooby Doo contest, but took too long to make. Head is my first every proper sculpt using fimo. A really weird and difficult figure to make, due to his non-minifig proportions. Legs are extended with two tiles to give him extra hight. Hes still not tall enough/head oversized.
I don\'t even know....
Well, let me know what you think on my weirdest custom to date. J's Customs , I hope the wait was worth while lol
There are a load of these out there, but I thought I'd start to work on one too. The TMNT vehicle is there for scale reference.
Inspired by the District 9 movie and the other awesome renditions of this vehicle from these great builders: Guy Smiley flic.kr/p/Bkpeo8, Project Azazel flic.kr/p/gnBH6e, _Tiler flic.kr/p/AUFtk8.
This still has a bit of work to be done on it but the bones are there. It seats 4 minifigs inside and the doors are functional. I need some white mudguards (among other pieces) to get this in better shape but thought I'd share it as it stands for the moment :)
