Happy birthday Aftab bahi. Yes, everything is temporary, like that drop clinging to the last bit of adhesive force. But as long as you trek through your amazing journey, know that you are respected and loved. A band named "Legend" jamming for tips at the Colorado Springs Flea Market. They played country, country rock, rock, & R&B. Unusually, all 3 members sang lead on different songs (and quite well too.) A really good band.

The alchemist knew the legend of Narcissus, a youth who knelt daily beside a lake to contemplate his own beauty. He was so fascinated by himself that, one morning, he fell into the lake and drowned. At the spot where he fell, a flower was born, which was called the narcissus.
But this was not how the author of the book ended the story.
He said that when Narcissus died, the goddesses of the forest appeared and found the lake, which had been fresh water, transformed into a lake of salty tears.
‘Why do you weep?’ the goddesses asked.
‘I weep for Narcissus,” the lake replied.
‘Ah, it is no surprise that you weep for Narcissus,’ they said, ‘for though we always pursued him in the forest, you alone could contemplate his beauty close at hand.’
‘But… was Narcissus beautiful?’ the lake asked.
‘Who better than you to know that?’ the goddesses asked in wonder. ‘After all, it was by your banks that he knelt each day to contemplate himself!’
The lake was silent for some time. Finally, it said:
‘I weep for Narcissus, but I never noticed that Narcissus was beautiful. I weep because, each time he knelt beside my banks, I could see, in the depths of his eyes, my own beauty reflected.’

While looking at those reflections, this story came to mind. So thought of framing that moment as it was. A photograph is not only a scene that you see through a camera- sometimes it could be something that touched your heart or a thought. Every photo has a moment and a story too.

I've wanted to do a pic like this for forever. I'm not insanely familiar with Blink, and her figure's fairly standard, but making her powers look like they're working is a whole lotta fun.

Desafio Ostentassaum Novidadeira #10

Ostentei meu primeiro e único, por enquanto Wow Prism no dia do meu aniver (ontem) e achei que foi uma excelente escolha... que esmalte mais lindo, gente!! Comprei da Cata, que soube que ele estava na minha WL e desapegou o dela pra mim.
Eu tinha muita curiosidade com a fórmula dessa linha, achando que fosse algo diferente de tudo que eu já tivesse visto, mas ele só é ~djou (tromundo) em termos de beleza, pq o acabamento é como se fosse uma mistura do DS Extravagance com o Zoya Blaze (mas com a cor do Blaze), ou seja, é tipo um L.A.Girl da coleção 3D, com todas aquelas partículas holográficas, só que com base cremosa/crelly.
A fórmula é uma delícia de trabalhar, cobre perfeitamente com duas camadas (as mais habilidosas devem conseguir até com uma só) e seca rápido, mas o brilho não é estonteante, creio que para não concorrer com o brilho holo das partículas, por isso não passei TC, pois já achei perfeito no acabamento natural.
Com incidência de luz direta - como na foto principal, ao sol - os brilhinhos pulam coloridos, embora a câmera não tenha conseguido captá-los em sua plenitude, como a gente vê ao vivo, e na sombra ficam sem cor (creio que branco ou prata), formando um degradê no tom da base, conforme a quantidade de camadas aplicadas. Não sei se consegui me expressar direito, mas tem fotos nos coments que mostram melhor o que quero dizer.
Obviamente passei a desejar todos os outros Wow Prism. =P

After a long bout, dealing with the piglin hordes, the hero of legends descend his big beaked friend for a moment of rest. Though one shall be careful when lowering their guard as strange creatures may lurk, hidden in the shadows.
For my physical entry in Cheesy Studios' contest I didn't have quite the number of pieces in the right colors, so I had to get creative. I chose to build it in the style of Minecraft: legends as it has a looser style (the big stone golems can be found off-grid buried in the ground) and to build the environment in a gradient radiating out from the fire, changing the natural hues of the forest. I used a yellow color only available with duplo to get the right vibrance. For the composition I took some inspiration from the artwork of Hyper Light Drifter. Something about the player character resting against some huge statue is just really appealing to me. Lastly I tried a new technique when photographing the module, painting in the lighting using a projector to get the right mood. The last picture shows the ground in a more natural light.

Auckland artist Natalie Stamilla completed this sculpture of legendary All Black Michael Jones scoring the first try of the inaugural rugby world cup in 1987, at Eden Park. And this is where is beautiful piece of work stands.
The sculpture's design is based on a photograph of the iconic image that was captured by Stamilla's father, Geoff Dale, who was a press photographer during the cup held 28-years-ago.
"With the sculpture being based on an iconic photo taken by my father capturing the actual try being scored, it means a lot to me personally and professionally that the sculpture is going ahead," said Stamilla.

Geeeente, que esmalte difícil de fotografar, viu?!... deve ser pra compensar a beleza, já que nada nessa vida é perfeito ahahaha.
Recebi esta semana uma caixa de DL e, ao testá-los nas unhas, a pedido da Ste, me apaixonei perdidamente pelo Oblivion. que foi escalado para ser a base da próxima carimbada do desafio, mas antes eu quis curtir o lindo sozinho por um dia ou dois.
Ele faz parte da coleção Sparky, lançada há um ano, com mini vidrinhos fofuchos <3. É um teal naquele tom petróleo, feito o do Azul Pavão da Impala, mas a semelhança para por aí, pois o Oblivion tem uma fórmula jelly bem pigmentada, que cobre bem com duas camadas. Eu só precisei passar a terceira porque usei uma base ~brilhosa, que fez a primeira camada arrastar e manchar um pouco (tenho certeza que a culpa foi da base pq testei os DL sem base nenhuma e ele não arrastou nem manchou).
Na primeira camada a cor fica mais vibrante, mas na segunda fecha no tom do vidrinho, bem escura. As partículas holográficas não são glitter, parecem ser uns micro flakes, e pelo que percebi são prateadas, sendo que na sombra assumem a cor da base, num tom mais clarinho, e no sol piscam lindas em todas as cores.
Secou rápido e com brilho digno, e o que mais me surpreendeu foi que, apesar dessa cor que grita "vou manchar até sua alma!" não deu trabalho de limpar e tudo indica que não virarei uma smurfette, pois ele não manchou a unha do teste, quando removi no dia seguinte. E sim, fiquei até o outro dia com uma unha de cada cor, encantada com meus novos bebês, auehuah me julguem.
Foi bem difícil resolver qual foto postar e acabei optando por uma ao sol, mas nos coments tem outras. Eu achei as fotos da Panasonic com a cor mais fiel, a Nikon teimou em captá-lo bem azul. =/
