This electrifying nighttime image captures the eye-popping entrance to a Japanese nightclub or entertainment venue, most likely located in the neon-splashed streets of Kabukichō, Shinjuku, or a similar nightlife district. The entrance is nothing short of visual overload—a kaleidoscope of LED lights, mirrored walls, golden textures, and cyberpunk flair, blending elements of retro-futurism and fantasy.
Flanked by two towering chrome statues of futuristic knights, the golden backdrop of the doorway is lined with intricate, embossed patterns that give the entire facade a bold, almost surreal vibe. Above the doorway, glowing red signage and scrolling LEDs add to the sensory feast, inviting curious passersby to step into a world of glamour, mystery, and high-octane nightlife.
Inside the entrance, the mirrored corridor is bathed in purple and blue neon, suggesting a labyrinth of light and sound beyond. From the multilingual signage and pricing details posted along the side, it’s likely this is a host or hostess club, a common fixture in Japanese nightlife where customers pay for conversation, attention, and entertainment from charismatic staff.
To the left, a food ad for Wagyu burgers adds a quirky contrast, while an unassuming side door to the right reminds us that nightlife culture often exists in tight, hidden corners just off busy sidewalks.

Vastitude explores concepts of ‘vastness’. Its simple architectural form hosts multidimensional displays that respond in real time to web-based interactions by users.
The exterior of Vastitude is a simple rectangular structure that hosts a complex three-dimensional grid of LED lights suspended inside parallel mirrors, creating the illusion of a deep, vast ‘field of lights’.
Users interact with the installation in real-time through a dedicated social media portal. When users direct their posts to the installation system, it will translate the user’s post into values that control the colour, speed and type of animation that will be displayed.

LED lights had been with us for over 40 years now having started with calculator and watch displays but in recent years they've matured to more practical uses such as replacing the light bulb for our homes, television and computer monitors and even our motor vehicles and so many others. the other day i came across these fancy LED lights for home display.

(EN) A sculpture with roots in Burning Man has become the newest attraction on San Francisco’s Embarcadero at Pier 14 The 60-foot (18 meters) sculpture named “SOMA” combines metal and LED lights to mimic brain neurons and create an interactive experience for visitors. SOMA was first built five years ago by the San Francisco artist collective Flaming Lotus Girls. The group is known for the fiery statues they feature annually at the Burning Man festival in northern Nevada’s Black Rock Desert.
