Bougainvillea.
Bougainvillea is a climbing shrub native to Brazil, which is why they like the sun above all else.
Fast-growing, they are perfect for upholstering facades or covering pergolas, and during the spring and summer months they offer the best of their versions: a leafy, striking bloom that, while not aromatic, captivates with its lush beauty.

After so much dry weather, I was pleasantly surprised to find some mist around the River Tame at Lea Marston on Friday 16th June. Timed at 5.27am, this is 66015 with 6M09, 23:13 Dowlow - Walsall loaded stone. The mist cleared a few minutes afterwards, as the sun rose beyond the line of cloud.

Lea Gardens
A Rhododendron Garden just outside the village of Lea and close to Matlock.
The Garden covers approximately three and a half acres, and is situated within a woodland area, with access paths which allow visitors to see the 500 or more varieties of rhododendrons, azaleas and other plants.
Looking across the River Lea where it splits into two channels at Clapton, just south of Lea Bridge. In the foreground, going out of shot at bottom right, is the River Lee Navigation, which runs in an artificial cut south of here as far as Old Ford.
Beyond the orange floats, the other branch flows over a weir into the Old River Lea, which follows the natural course of the river and serves as an overflow for the navigation when the water is high.
Both spellings of the River Lea/Lee are used but they tend to attach to different parts of the river - the navigation is officially spelt Lee, as are the various parks named after it in the lower and middle course of the river but the valley overall, the old course of the river and, especially, the upper course of the river above Ware, tend to be spelt Lea.
