Arrivé dans ce lieu mythique des catacombes vers 4 heures du matin, après une longue succession de passages en rampants ! Le graal... mais éreinté !
Le bleu et le orange sont opposés dans le cercle chromatique, mais juxtaposées il s’intensifient mutuellement. Je râle souvent contre les lumières urbaines oranges qui bouzillent mes photos, mais cette fois ci le ciel a fait le boulot en trouvant de lui même la bonne teinte a opposer aux lampadaires.

We pass this wonderful looking property every time we head to the nearest town, Brignoles, about 25 minutes drive away. I uploaded a similar shot of it in colour last Autumn but the platane trees shielded most of the house at that time of the year. It was nice to be able to stop the car this morning and be able to capture it while the trees are bare. I was standing on the edge of one of many vineyards which surround the property.
Thanks to those who enquired after my health - you'll be happy to know that from today I feel much better. Onwards and upwards! :-)

They were carried in the Mystical Fae Forest while a piano was playing in an absconded corner of my mind.
Le Vautour fauve, appelé « Siarre » en basque, ce grand planeur mesure 2m50 quand il se déploie. Il profite des courants ascendants pour s’élever dans l’espace. Sans cesse affamé, il peut parcourir jusqu’à 100kms pour se nourrir sans effort ainsi que de son bec nécrophage découpant avec avidité ses charognes. Dans les années 70, au bord de l’extinction, il a failli disparaître des Pyrénées. Ses effectifs ne comptaient alors qu’une vingtaine de couples dans les Pyrénées-Atlantiques. A la faveur d’actions de nourrissage menées jusqu’en 1997, ils réapparaissent. Espèce protégée sur l’ensemble du territoire national en voie de disparition dans les années 70.
