Taken at Mayfield Lavender.
They have two types of Lavender at Mayfields this is the taller one that comes out a bit latter.
Went with BWC friend Peter and had a Lavender Scone with jam and cream with tea - lovely.
I need a reminder today that it's supposed to be Flaming June!! Instead we have had days of cold, wet and windy weather. In contrast, this image was taken on a warm summer's evening :)

On my bike journey to Brands Hatch yesterday,i past these fields of Lavender on the A225 nr Sevenoaks.I returned today by car to capture some pictures.
Although I managed to get some photo's from the road,the fields where out of bounds to the public and photographers.They did have a couple of guided tours during the day to some parts of the fields etc but I had missed the first and the second was not till a lot later in the afternoon.The cars seen in the middle right,are visiting their products shop,called The Hop Shop.

The heady scent fills the air at Heacham Norfolk. Norfolk lavender was founded in 1993 it distills it own lavender and tours can see this process in action. Lavender has been used don the ages for this like tension, tridents and depression as well s many other ailments.

Snowshill Lavender Farm in the Cotswolds, the crop was ripe for harvesting and the scent was amazing
