This year, the Virginia Beach Central Business District Association is hosted “Last Night on the Town” a kid-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration at The Town Center of Virginia Beach and Pembroke Mall. The festivities began in the afternoon at Pembroke Mall with entertainment for the whole family, including a kid friendly mock countdown at 5:00 PM. The adult fun continued throughout the night at the Town Center with live music by Carbon Jam, Cheap Thrills and the headlining band the Gin Blossoms. A spectacular laser light, fireworks and midnight countdown rang in 2014. All activities and entertainment were free and open to the public with Food and adult beverages available for purchase.

For all of you who have been asking for a video of karaoke night for months.... here it is, finally!
This was the last song on the last karaoke night.... singing "Feels Like Home" with my Mommy. Some friends at the table were teary eyed and my mom was struggling to maintain her composure... and she did well until about halfway through the song.
I'll miss karaoke!

Leonardo's Last Supper Museum in the Santa Maria delle Grazie convent in Milan is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage-listed site and one of the top sights to visit in Italy. The new Kempsville Recreation Center opened in June 2017 and is an 87,116 square foot state-of-the-art facility that has a double gymnasium, an indoor pool and water play components with zero-depth entry, indoor track, fitness center, six-lane lap pool, as well as several multipurpose rooms and early childhood classrooms. The new site also features improved parking and pedestrian access.

Sadly, the last Valenta-powered 125 unit has been re-engined.
For the uninitiated, the Valenta power plant sounded like a jet engine with 12 chunky pistons the size of buckets whizzing up and down. It smoked like the worst nightmare of an environmentalist. It looked and sounded like a real machine.
Even in periods of deep uninterest in railway matters, the sound of one of these machines in the confines of Darlington railway station brought on goose bumps.
I managed a spot of window-hanging when travelling to and from The Tall Ships event at Hartlepool. This could be, quite easily, the last time I ever get this view out of an open window on the main line.
The whistle of that turbo, and throb of the V12 was truly memorable. The end.

The last day together as the famous five! They start to leave us from tomorrow, very mixed emotions here . A bit sad as they have been a joy,but relief too as they are a total bunch of hooligans and they are all going to great homes. They are more than ready to start their new adventures with their own families
hey its miley's upcoming film called THE LAST SONG. well the posters says that its about family, crushes, second chances and stuff like that. so lets wait for its release and then we'll see who gets a second chance. its releasing on APRIL 2
last day of 2007 and this will be my last picture uploaded this year. No specific reason for the subject matter. Just a very interesting (and beautiful) sculpture at my Mother in-law's house. The color and shapes along with the lighting just screamed take my picture. :) Hope it's a sign that 2008 will be a good year!
