Ok .. its a little sappy and old but I chose "The Rose" by Bette Midler.. It was very hard to pick one song but to me the simple lyrics hits my heart every time. Its not about the "Love" in the lyrics its about the seed that grows with the suns love. The feeling of a new day.. a new chance.. a new season..That if something takes away your smile or spirit it will come back with a little ray of sunshine and time.
Nornally I am a classic rock or old school hip hop kinda girl but not sure I can listen to that as my last melody :)

This picture was taken in St. Peter’s Square, Manchester, UK, prior to the sun setting behind the Midland Hotel, (building on the right). I was trying to capture the sun setting above the distant tower; yet another Office Block going up in Manchester’s City Centre. Unfortunately the sun was shining above a band of cloud and therefore right into my lens so the image I was trying to capture never materialised, but I did manage to capture a silhouette of this chap on his bike riding towards me. Fortunately he turned right before running into me.
This image has not been toned; it is, as it was, at the time of taking the picture.
The last little bit of color as winter takes hold. The colors were enhanced by the rain, which made a lovely picture in an otherwise pretty ordinary view from a window. 20171216WestLakeHillsDxoLr1
Amtrak 966 special passes the Port Henry station with the 108 50th anniversary locomotive. This will probably be the last special crew requalifying train as the "Adirondack" finally resumes service to Montreal after a three year hiatus.
The last batch of later-born fawns with youthful spots and coloring will soon transition into adult colors. They will face different dangers as they age and the lessons learned from their mother might be the difference between life and death.

It was one of those perfect late summer days, seventy degrees and not a cloud in the sky, the kind of day that you fondly look back on during this time of year when we're lucky to see the sun once a week. Here, the last rays of sun shine on a quartet of Canadian Pacific EMD's as they ease a heavy transfer across the Mississippi River in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota. This train is en route to South St. Paul Yard to interchange with Union Pacific.
Tossed about by the cold autumn winds, these leaves form rivers of texture and detail for one last hurrah
