Across the lands, that i see

Stretching wide in front of me

With their hills , that i climb

Waiting for the sun to shine

Waiting for the rain to fall

As i answer .the sweet call

Of the beauty ,that is found

In the far off, stretching ground

That does tempt my looking eyes

As i gaze across the far off skies

Trev woke up early one morning and opened the Velux windows ...... "Get Up" he shouted to me as i lay all snuggled up in a warm cosy bed. "Their is mist in the Valley .. come on"!

So up from my slumber, all bleary eyed, i splashed my face with cold water to speed waking up, and went downstairs to make up two flasks of coffee ...... it was time-laps time!

This is a shot i took from that morning!

From the castle to the village and inside the landscape =)

Bad Lands National Park, South Dakota

Since mid- December, I have been daily hiking the gorgeous lands surrounding St. George, Utah, lands which are part of the geologic formation known as the Colorado Plateau. The sculpted cliffs and canyons of this area present themselves through an amazing colour palette of crimson, vermilion, organge, salmon, peach, pink, gold and white, dotted in places by iron concretions - black, spherical rock marbles that collect in shallow depressions.

This image - composed in the Paradise Valley just outside of St. George - provides an example of the visual feasts one finds in this region. In the days to come, I will post other photographs from Utah’s portion of the Colorado Plateau, images I hope you will enjoy.

Happy New Year, Everyone, and may 2025 bestow upon you good health, pleasing accomplishments and many moments of joy.

For those game of thrones fans this is the storm lands film location in Northern Ireland on a sunny day

Late afternoon light on the Lands Inn campground, John Day fossil beds area of Oregon.

The land ends here? Not quite. Defiant stacks tower above the swell. Still connected via unseen rugged terrain beneath the surface.

From Wiki:

Land's End (Cornish: Penn an Wlas or Pedn an Wlas) is a headland and holiday complex in western Cornwall, England. It is the most westerly point of mainland Cornwall and England, is within the Penwith peninsula and is about eight miles (13 km) west-south-west of Penzance at the western end of the A30 road.

Excerpt from portlandsto.ca/new-bridge-arrives-in-torontos-port-lands/:

The Cherry Street South Bridge arrived in December, 2021. It followed the same route as the other bridges, travelling from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, to Toronto via the St. Lawrence Seaway.

This bridge will cross the new mouth of the Don River where the river meets the lake, at what is currently Polson Slip. We’re rebuilding Cherry Street slightly west of its current location. The new river will flow east-west across Cherry Street, so we need a bridge at this location. This is one of two crossings along the new Cherry Street. The first crossing is the Cherry Street North Bridge, which has two bridges that span the Keating Channel (the first of these two bridges arrived in November 2020).

Fun facts about the Cherry Street South Bridge:

•It is 110 metres long

•It weighs 830 tonnes

•It will cross the new mouth of the Don River, where the river meets the lake

The most amazing sunset I have seen in a while.

Beauty, beauty , in my mind

In my eyes, where you find

Sweet, sweet love shining bright

All the day and all the night

Love, love in my heart

You do beat and never part

Always holding me,very tight

Under the stars , beautiful, radiant light

Beauty and love in my hands

As i walk, the wild lands

My heart is filled with affection

Where i see, your sweet reflection

This model shows a group of Freemen having found shelter out near an old and abandoned temple.

Another Quantum Lands model.

This was actually only built over the course of a day, which is quite something for me, considering it's my biggest finished model to date.

I had a lot of fun creating the ruined look. And trying to incorporate gold watch links. I also found it fun, but frustrating try out the leaf weaving technique, and yes I know I'm a few years late to that :P

Tree was inspired by some of Dan The Fan and LordGregory's models. Overall build was inspired by Markus Rollbühler. Statue by Stan Building.
