In preparation for the First Asian Cooperation Dialogue Summit due to be held in Kuwait on 15-17 October 2012, a three-day colorful cultural presentation about Indonesia (Indonesian Cultural Days) was kicked off Monday evening at the Kuwait National Museum. The National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) will hold the Asian Cultural Days in cooperation with the embassies of Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Japan, Indonesia, India and China between September 25 and October 13. The celebrations are being held to coincide with the First Summit of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) set to be held in Kuwait between October 15 and 17, the council said in a press statement. It explained that the Cultural Days will hold an opening ceremony at the Kuwait National Museum Theatre, with a Bhutanese cultural display to follow at The Avenues and Souq Sharq malls. On Saturday, Sri Lanka will host its part of the program at Kuwait's National Museum with a special band on Sunday and Monday at Souq Sharq and Al-Kout malls. The Japanese cultural days will begin on October 2 at the Kuwait National Museum's theatre. India's cultural days on October 3 will follow, with their own artistic show at Abdulaziz Hussein Cultural Center in Mishref. The Museum of Modern Art will host the Asian Art Forum Gallery on October 7, followed by the opening ceremony of the Indonesian cultural days at the Kuwait National Museum Theatre. A joint Indonesian-Kuwaiti concert will be held on October 9 at the Kuwait National Museum Theatre.
