She is at peace, look at her stare and smile while being serenaded by her favorite Artist.

It's been a while since I've posted here and since I've been away i believe I've grown much as a photographer, photojournalism sort of becoming my niche. I titles this photo "the return" because it serves as the first photo I've posted in a long while but also speaks to the photo it self. I took this photo on a return visit to Allman Town, an impoverished community in the city of Kingston. The reason for this visit is the beginning of a new series of photojournalistic entries to be titled "Kulcha" which will explore the various cultural, economic and political realities of the Jamaican people. The purpose of "Kulcha" is to debunk the stereotypes associated with these cultural realities and expose as much truth as possible through personalized accounts from a Jamaican perspective. via 500px ift.tt/1Uee72w

The Norwich gig was the second benefit night for Kenny in the city after an event was set up earlier in the month by promoters Roots and Culture, featuring rapper Skinnyman.

Described by Finbarr as one of Norwich's "Biggest and best ever reggae gigs" and featuring the vocal talents of Chanter, Errol Bellot, Kingjay, Dixie Peach, Askala Sellasie, Nereus Joseph and Hughie Izachaar, other nights are also scheduled to take place across the globe during the year.

The gigs have been organised to help towards the £6,500 cost of bringing Kenny's body back to the UK, which was buried in February 2010.

As Kenny had no travel insurance while out in Ghana, the British Embassy was under no obligation to pay for his body to be flown back home. Friends and family therefore stepped in to cover the cost.

"My phonebook is the greatest legacy Kenny gave me - that sounds stupid, but in the reggae world, like all worlds, it is who you know," said Finbarr.

"When we were organising the fundraiser I phoned up people and everyone who answered said 'Yes'. A lot of people talk the talk, but Kenny walked the walk and that's very inspiring," he added.

The Kenny Kulcha benefit gig, organised by Rebel Lion Sound System, took place at Clarke's venue on 85 Barker Street in Norwich on Saturday, 27 February 2010.

For those who don't know he was working to set up a foundation in Africa developing music venues across the continent for touring international (and homegrown) reggae artists and training young africans into the music industry.

He will be sadly missed but never forgotten..and of course we will continue his works spreading Jah Love.

We are now trying to raise the money through events and donations (more than £6500 including his funeral) to get his body back home for his family and kids. If you can help in anyway please contact me info@rebel-lion.co.uk or 0044 7891782971.

"A rare leavened Indian bread stuffed with cottage cheese"

We ordered this because Amelia loves cottage cheese and because I had never heard of kulcha as it certainly isn't something that shows up on the menus of Indian restaurants in Portland.

This was really good, although all that bread made us very full.

Hay que ajustar un poco la R y la B de rebel.-

I only took these four pictures, and realized it wasn't going to be a photo day.

It was going to be a leave-my-camera-in-the-bag day.

And I don't even know if zoron knows tomoko at all, but like i said, these are the only four pictures I took; maybe I'll see zoron later this week and get a better "see you later" pic ...

You can't see the best part of the whole evening ... after I'd left and come back and then everybody else was long gone or passed out. Then it was just me and two of my best friends talking long into the night; outside, riverside, moonlight, cherry blossoms, vices. Just right.

Here is the big news!!

We are opening on 8 November 2020 (Sunday) at 6/7 George St, Parramatta NSW 2150, Australia.
