Here’s our hero, Kal-El alias Superman, getting hit by a kryptonite ray from one of Brainiac’s robots.
For quite some time I had thought about which villain to use for this MOC. Of course Lex Luthor came to my mind, but also Bizzaro, Lobo or Mr. Mxyzptlk. In the end, I realised that I had to fill a huge MOC with action. As a result, I created a robot army with the typical 3 (often 5) Brainiac circles on their backs. When I designed them, I tried to stay true to the typical 1930s-1940s comic design.

It took a few days for Kara to recover from her fight with Bloodsport at the DEO. It's surprising that we haven't met anyone with Kryptonite until now. Here I am out on patrol, trying to find some answers. Unfortunately for me, everyone I've encountered has been less than co-operative in giving me any leads on this Kryptonite supplier. May have to switch tactics. Here's hoping things go better this time around.
-----------------
"I lost em." I mutter to myself, running through a nearby alleyway, duffle bag in hand. Nearly tripping over a garbage can, I manage to stop myself from falling over completely, before I keep running. Looking behind me occasionally, there's no one following me anymore. By the time I look back, it's too late, as there he is.. The Superboy, floating just inches from the ground in front of me.
"Did you really think you could outrun me, Derek?"
"How do you even know my who I am?"
"One of your buddies, Scott Bowman, gave you up. Said that you, Derek Fox, might have the answers I need. Was pretty easy tracking you down from there.
"Answer what? Just leave me alone, man!" I raise my pistol, shooting bullet after bullet. Kind of pointless, considering he's bulletproof.
"Sorry, but I can't do that. Not until you tell me whose selling Kryptonite in Leavenworth."
"Kryptonite?! I don't know nothing!" I stutter, backing away from the Teen of Steel. Black Zero wouldn't be very happy with me if I gave up the club, and what goes on behind closed doors.
"Uh oh, double negative. Now let's try this again. Whose selling the Kryptonite?" He remains calm, as his right hand forms a fist.
"I don't know!" I say once more, acting as best I can. Unfortunately, he isn't convinced.
"Wrong answer! Guess I'll have to do this the hard way after all." He grabs me by the collar, and flies us up to a nearby rooftop. Holding me over the ledge, with hints of red in his eyes, he clears his throat.
"Is this really worth almost dying over?" He asks, as his eyes go back to normal.
"I'm dead if I say anything." I squirm, my feet reaching, trying to get back to the ledge of the rooftop, but it's no use, as his titan grip holds me up by the collar.
"Uh oh, looks like you're starting to slip." He says, as one of his fingers lets go.
"Okay, okay! I honestly don't know that much. Only that there's been a few dealings of Kryptonite out of the club Zero. That's all I know, I swear! So please, just let me leave.
"See, was that so hard? Thank you. As for letting you off the hook, not a chance. Stealing from a low-income corner store, not cool man.. Here's hoping a night in prison changes your perspective on things." Just like that, I'm going back to prison.
------------------
Zero
I get a call to meet Chris at Zero, as there's apparently been some Kryptonite dealings going on there. It doesn't take me long to fly there. Upon landing on a ledge nearby Flux greets me with a wave.
"Looks like we're all here!" She says enthusiastically, looking back at Chris, before walking inside.
Something hits my back, which sends me spiraling downwards. My cape twists, almost tripping me up mid-air, but I'm able to recover, just a few feet from the ground. Floating above the ledge, was my attacker.
She feels familiar. From the way she holds herself, and how she descends. A costume that is an uncanny copy of mine, down to the way the House of El crest is shaped on it. Like looking into a mirror.
"Who are you?" I ask as my attacker lands in front of me.
"Isn't it obvious? I'm Supergirl." She sneers.
Superman Charges at Batman.
Batman attempts to fire his Kryptonite Gun, but the Man of Steel is too quick for him and he grabs the gun before it's fired.
Superman exclaims "You think you could have stopped me with this? A machine?"
He rips the gun out of Batman's hands, shoving him into the ground as well.
He rips the gun in half, and says "Anymore tricks you want to pull?"
Batman slowly gets a batarang out ready to launch it at Superman. He's note down just yet.
We even have desk top ornamentals to keep prying x-ray vision at bay. A must have for every mobster boss.
What a morning. Off duty at 0115 and up at dawn to arrive Roseville at 0600. I blew at least 5 good photographic opportunities. Not a cloud in the sky and it's as if I was trying to blow shots of Bongas. Luckily there was a former Cotton Belt GP60 parked beside Atlantic street downtown.
Shortly after 8 an Engineer hopped on. The Rocklin Rocket was gonna get goin'!
So as a large amount of the California railfan community is a few hundred miles north chasing 4449 I'm behind DP Dairy shooting *SP paint switching among ancient Ford cab-overs and in the right background the second most sought after piece of former SP equipment, Rotary SPMW 207.
Sounds like the fight is over, as the crowd gathers around the clone, and this Red Sun guy, cheering them on. Something's wrong with me. I can't really explain it, but I felt, different. It's not like Kryptonite, or the one time Pirate used his powers on me. I felt free to do whatever I want, and that scares me... Thankfully, the effect seems to have worn off upon leaving the area.. Huh, weird.. Anyways, I should probably get going, as I have a meeting at Cadmus Labs with Guardian. Clark's connections helping me out once again. My phone vibrates in my back pocket, so I pull it out. It's a text message from Alicia.
Alicia: "Hey, so with exams just a week away and all, me and the others thought it would be a good idea to hold a study group, over at Whole Latte Love in a few minutes. You in?"
Chris: "One without clones, I hope.. Sorry babe, I can't... Have a meeting with a friend of Superman's at Cadmus Labs over in Metropolis. Might be a lead in where these clones came from. But if you're still studying afterwards, I'll swing by, alright?" It's a minute or so before Alicia responds once again.
Alicia: "Oh okay, no problem. Hopefully the lead pans out! "
Chris: "I hope so. Have fun though, and be sure to text me all the juicy details, cause I'm sure Feyris and Shane will have some good stories. I still think that's the most surprising thing I've learned about Shane, is his love for gossip."
Alicia: "Of course! And yeah, it takes a little while to get used to.. Anyways, I'll let you get back to it. Love you."
Chris: "Love you too Ally. Thanks for understanding." I write back, with a heart emoji written at the end. Placing the phone back into my pocket, I change into my costume in a nearby alleyway, and lift off moments later, heading to Metropolis. It's been a while since I last visited. Wish it were under better circumstances though.
-------------------------------------
Cadmus Labs, Metropolis
Sure enough, Alicia texts me updates, as the phone vibrates in my back pocket frequently while I'm flying. Something about whether Poppy is an alien, AI, or is just an ordinary human. Poppy seems to be a hot topic these days.. Anyways, I'm finally here. I land on the steps leading up to the front entrance, when I notice Guardian leaning against a nearby pillar.
"Sorry I'm late." I apologize, walking towards the pillar, to meet up with him.
"It's alright. Superman told me you'd probably be late." Guardian says, trying to reassure me.
"Hah, of course he did. Well it's nice to meet you face to face, Guardian. C-Superman's told me a lot about you." I say, reaching out my hand. His grip is firm as we shake hands.
"All good things, I hope." He says with a slight smirk, before standing up straight, leading me to the entrance.
"Besides you claiming to be Superman at one point, yeah, only good things." I say with a laugh, as we enter the facility.
"Ah, he told you about the Reign of the Supermen . At least, that's what the media liked to call it. No one can ever really compare to the man himself. Didn't stop the four of us from trying though. With him being gone for almost a year, Metropolis still needed someone. That's when I was created, here at Cadmus. The first, and the last successful clone. I did the best I could, but even that wasn't enough, as my namesake, James Harper, was killed thanks to that damn Cyborg Superman. Right in front of me too. It took me years before I could fully move past it, to become someone he would be proud of." He recalls.
"I'm sure he already is. Anyways, onto the reason I'm here.." I say, trying to change the topic.
"You wanted to know if Cadmus is behind the new clones that popped up in Leavenworth, right?" He says, staying calm, despite the bold accusation I'm making. I only nod in response. "I can safely say, that we are not. All cloning projects were shut down years ago."
What's in there?" I ask, pointing to a set of double doors that's off on our right.
"One of our many laboratories. Currently, we're testing a compound called Xenothium. From what the scientists have told me, it's quite rare and dangerous, but could be the next big breakthrough for science. Apparently, the fact we were even able to get a sample in itself is pretty impressive, as not even LuthorCorp, Wayne Industries or S.T.A.R Labs have been able to acquire any Xenothium." His heartbeat's steady as he's talking, so either he's telling the truth, or he's a really good liar. Not sure which to think quite yet. Using my x-ray vision, I don't notice anything out of the ordinary. Sure enough, the scientists are blabbering on about the prospects of Xenothium as a power source.
For the next half hour, Guardian gives me a tour of the Cadmus Labs facility, showing me the various projects being worked on. No hidden passageways, no secret underground lab, nothing.. He even goes so far to show me the old cloning chambers, the room covered in cobwebs, like no one's been inside here for ages.
"So who were the ones involved with the project that made you? Besides the original James Harper that is."
"Well, there was James, Dabney Donovan, Reginald Augustine, and Serling Roquette." He muses, trying to remember those involved.
"Okay. So, do Dabney, Reginald, and Serling all still work here?"
"Dabney retired a couple of years back. Reggie's one of the lead scientists on the Xenothium research. As for Serling…" His voice trails off upon the mention of her name.
"She was fired. The board blamed her for everything that happened. Haven't seen her since unfortunately."
"Looks like I'll be paying her a visit. Do you have her home address, or anything else that could prove to be useful?"
"I mean, she's probably moved since she worked here, but I'll see what I can dig up." I write down my contact information on a notepad nearby, so he can get ahold of me if he finds anything.
"Awesome, thanks!" With that, my phone vibrates once again. But upon pulling it out, the text isn't from Alicia, but Clark.
Clark: "I know you're at Cadmus now, but I thought I'd let you know that Kara's awake." Turning to Guardian, I apologize. He nods, understanding the situation. With that I'm flying out of the room, heading out of the facility, towards the fortress. It's nice, getting good news for once. Serling Roquette may be the one behind the two evil clones, and my sister's awake. Things are starting to look up after all.

what do you want to see in a future gallery?
What suit I should show again? Or what combination of suits I should try?

Shot me out of the sky
You're my kryptonite
You keep making me weak
Yeah, frozen and can't breathe
Something’s gotta give now
'Cause I’m dying just to make you see how much I love you :*
I felt the front end of the Batmobile from 76045 was unfinished, so I rebuilt most of the front section to include wheel covers, spinning turret, and smoother front end.
Luthor made Corben into a weapon. I couldn’t believe it, a dead man stood right in front of me, but somehow Luthor brought him back. He had a bright green helmet on, covering his eyes and then a huge darker green piece of armour on his torso. His armour was advanced, It almost looked Kryptonian.
“Don’t let Luthor control you!” I yelled
He screamed back at me, like a cave man trying his best at a battle cry. Then he charged me, he was fast, obviously some sort of physical enhancement from Luthor. Just as he reached me I kicked him into a building and jumped over to where he fell. I walked over to him and held him up against a pile of rubble.
“I don’t want to do this John, break out of whatever control Luthor has on you!”
I stood there holding him for a few seconds, he did nothing, but then he went limp. I was shocked, I had no idea what happened to him but then, suddenly he jerked back to life and I heard Luthor’s voice come out of some part of his suit.
“Impressive! You are much stronger than I expected!” He said.
“What did you do to him Luthor?”
“I gave him a second chance! A rebirth! You know your ship you came in was extraordinary! It was miles ahead of anything even Luthor Tech had created. It was just super! I mean you set us up for life, in fact Mr. Corben wouldn’t even be here today if it wasn’t for your ship…”
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“ Let me show you.” He said.
Then Corben’s suit shot out a green laser that shot me across the street into a building. It hurt, a lot. It was like a third degree burn, times two, it felt quite a bit like that green rock.
“What did you do to Krypton’s technology Luthor!? It wasn’t made for this!”
“Krypton huh? I was looking for a name for that green rock. How does Kryptonite sound?”
I knew what Luthor was trying to do, distract me, make me angry, sloppy. But that wasn’t going to happen, it couldn’t. I closed my eyes and tried to focus, focus on my powers. I felt my eyes start to heat up, and I smirked. I opened my eyes back up and everything was red. Lasers shot out of my eyes, I concentrated on Corben, or what was left of him anyway. He then shot out another beam right at me. I thought to myself “I need to destroy his laser from it’s source, so I looked right at the center of his chest plate. Then everything went black.
Kryptonite at the cellular level.
Actually I have to come clean it's the center of a Pincushion flower.
Have a good one !
Super Carson is a beautiful little 2 year old boy. And just like Super Man, Carson has his own kryptonite. He wants to play and giggle and toss and tumble like other little boys but with a medically fragile heart he has to take great care with everything he does. Carson was born with a rare heart condition called Hypo-Plastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) otherwise known as HALF-A-HEART. In the first two years of his life he has undergone 2 extremely risky open heart surgeries to help his "half a heart" do the best it can to work like one whole heart. His tiny little body has also undergone over 15 other major surgeries in his fight to sustain life. He keeps fighting. He loves life. He is brave and strong and inspires everyone he meets. I am blessed to know him and be his Auntie. Carson and his family appreciate everyone who has joined in celebrating his life and encouraging his fight for a miracle.
UPDATE: February 10, 2011. Carson is now 5 and today I'm celebrating the fact that he is 1/2 way through his kindergarten year. Such an amazing little guy! On the day of his birth, the doctors didn't give him more then a few days to be on earth with us, then a few months, then maybe a year, maybe two. He's beaten ALL the odds and keeps surprising us with his enduring strength and courage. He may need to have another open heart surgery this summer. The thought of his little body suffering another major trauma is devastating. His mommy Christina (my sister) and his Daddy Paul and his two sisters Madison and Morgan do everything they can to make his life amazing. Carson as well as the entire Dominick family are my heros. Thanks to all who keep following his journey.

Had fun with this one, wall done yesterday on Moganshan with Fluke, Smear and a buddy of his.
Once again a multicolor freestyle out of the bag peice but this time I selected a couples colors beforehand to be put in the bag. Rapid sketch of letters then off I went, grabbing a can using it, grabbing another ect... laying out the base randomly by patches and only after going into each block to add details, texture and patterns (I placed a couple Maui boards in this one) I kinda like where it's goin. However I think it's still missing a very non graffiti approach to it. I need more contrasting shapes (some maybe huge) or connections maybe keeping some colors just in one area instead of having them be everywhere, or colored undefined shapes that aren't geometric ... kindof looks like a complex quilt at the moment.
Whatever, anyways fun to do as I can just keep on going till it gets too dark. I might go back at it later on this week.

My foot remained on his back... My strength was still weakened, so after a while, he managed to get up, pushing me off of him and onto my back. He turned, and looked down at me...
Batman: ...No.
He raised his fist into the air, the metal plating on it spreading slightly, revealing a kryptonite exoskeleton beneath, before pounding it down onto my chest.
Superman: Agh!!!
He kept his fist on my chest, making me incapable of lifting myself, before using his other hand to pick me up by the arm. After that, he released me, and then punched me in the face with his other hand before I fell to the ground, making me fly back, landing in front of a parked car.
Superman: Ugh...
Batman: I need to say this again. If you give up now, I'll stop. We can forget this ever happened.
Superman: *spits out blood*... I'm not quitting. You haven't learned your lesson yet.
I got up, turned around, picked up the car behind me, and looked back at Bruce, before throwing it towards him. He managed to catch it with the strength of his armour.
Batman: Ugh... *huff*...
I fired my laser vision at his stomach, causing him to drop the car onto himself, crushing him on the pavement.
Batman: Ach..!
Superman: You're never going to win, you know. As much as you might try, you're still human.
Batman: *cough*... What's that supposed to mean...
He threw the car off of him, and stood back up. He grappled towards me, and punched me to the ground. The kryptonite made me too slow to run out of the way. While I was on the ground, he loomed over me trying to stab my chest with a kryptonite dagger he pulled from his belt. I held his hand away, while ripping a batarang from my shoulder with my other hand, and using it to stab his chestplate.
Batman: Agh..!
I just barley got deep enough to touch his skin, when he backed away from me. I got back up, limping... I was covered in blood and wounds, my suit was ruined.
Superman: *huff*... *puff*...
Batman: I'm s-... *cough*... surprised you're still standing...
Superman: I could say the same about you...
He slowly reached down to his belt, and tried to pull out a kryptonite batarang, but I used all of my strength to fire my laser vision at his hand to stop him.
Batman: Agh..!
He grabbed his hand with his other and took a knee...
Superman: You're kneeling... Does that mean I've won?
Batman: ...
He was silent for a moment, I was too. He slowly tapped the side of his helmet, but I didn't notice at the time, as my vision was blurred.
Batman: ...Now.
I slowly turned my head around, and at the last second, I saw Batman's ex-sidekick, now Nightwing, on a motorcycle. He fired kryptonite bullets at me from a gun atop the handlebars.
Superman: Agh!!!
I fell to the ground, unconscious. I was dying, though my super hearing let me hear what was being said, and with my x-ray vision, I could still just barely see what was going on.
Nightwing: Christ... I-... You made me... Uh...
Batman: Don't worry. I still have some Lazarus at the cave, that'll wake him up when we get home.
Nightwing: Oh, alright... Wait, you use that stuff?
Batman: I don't like it, as it's addictive, though in small doses it comes in handy. Now come on, it's time for step 2 of the protocol.
Nightwing: Right.
Bruce wrapped my passed out body in a rope, and strapped me to the back of the motorcycle, before both Nightwing and Bruce sat down on the bike, driving away with me.
Nightwing: So... How did the fight go?
Batman: Decent... More even than I expected. I might not have won if you weren't here.
Nightwing: I think you could've figured it out...
They were silent from that point on... Eventually, we got to The Bat Cave, Bruce's HQ. I was thrown into a room of some kind. I heard Bruce walking away, I assume to get the Lazarus. He returned after a while, and poured a couple drops on my neck, causing me to wake up.
Superman: *gasp*... Where am I..?
Batman: A cell.
He walked out of the cell, and closed a glass door in front of me, speaking to me from behind it.
Batman: Don't try to escape, it's impossible to break through. This room has no sunlight coming into it, so you have no power to. And due to that lack of sunlight, you aren't receiving any energy to stay alive, so, Alfred will bring you food everyday. You are going to stay in that cell until you've come to terms with the fact that you are in the wrong with what you've done to me, and the property damage you've done to the city. I will ask you if you've realized this once a day.
He began to walk away from the cell...
Superman: Wait, but who's going to protect Metropolis?
Batman: It will alternate. Police will tackle smaller crimes, we'll send in heroes for the larger ones, like Nightwing, or one of the JL members.
He continued to walk away...
Superman: Wait! Let me out of here! Please!!!
I repeatedly banged on the door, only to receive no response.
~Madam Web
Over the course of the two years that I've owned this set, I've made modifications. They're all very superficial. The basic design is still TLG's. Anyway, as you can see, I switched up the weapons systems. On his shoulders, he has a rocket launcher and a cannon that fires kryptonite shells. In his hand is a rapid-firing machine gun and kryptonite flamethrower.
I'm also starting to figure out a couple of stories I want to do. One is X-Men, and the other is a Superman story in which Batman will feature heavily. The second one is inspired by Nexus/Caleb.
